I used to listen, but not all day. And not since I got to DC, because I get my fill of the Redskins by turning on the local news for 5 minutes.*
*There is nothing lamer than the "local news" story that consists of a reporter in a sports bar or a stadium parking lot interviewing fans about their thoughts on the day's win or loss ("we're going 16-0 baby" "playoffs, here we come." "we're still a good team, we'll get 'em next week"). And I say this as a blanket statement--I would not want to see this of Boston fans either.

I actually have a good friend who is a wedding photographer and she loves loves loves her job. (She is a sorority sister but did not go to Syracuse.)
I think it'd be fun to plan weddings. I had an awesome time planning my first, and look forward to doing it again someday.

I've stopped reading any Hank "story" posts. The payoff just hasn't been worth it. It's sort of like using the ignore button, but in reverse. If I see a post that is from Hank and over a certain number of characters, SKIP.

Alright, ppnyc, as I am the (self-) appointed voice of the board* when you've been going a bit overboard on the post count, I'll just point out that you've already posted 14 (sorry, 15) times this morning. That's a lot of times, right? Please don't feel the need to respond to this post. Rhetorical question.
*See what can happen when you give a bored lawyer just a little bit of apparent authority???
ET Update for the (worthless) post she snuck in while I was in the process of posting this.

Most of my fine art photographer friends double as wedding photographers. My favorite wedding photographer story is from a woman I know in Taos that goes to Sturgis every year. Three years ago, she set up a photo area near a waterfall in South Dakota with a sign saying that she does wedding photographs. The first year, three wedding parties stopped by for photos. Last year it was fifteen. This year she had 28 weddings and had to hire assistants to help her get through them all. Biker weddings. *sniff*
I think I've known too many insane brides. Planning my own wedding would be fun. Planning someone else's, especially when they insist on something I think is stupid, would make me want to have a long conversation with the groom-to-be about the wisdom of going through with it.

2. Until RT responded, I hadn't realized that he had asked a question.
Sorry, Hank.

I didn't see anything wrong with any of the occupations listed, with the exception of the substance abuse situation. Hardeeharhar.
When I finally stop working at my current job I am thinking of going into psychic readings also. I understand psychic readers are not as prevalent and available in Mpls as one might think! Also, this would help me market for my party planning business.

2. It's nauseating to watch these yahoos. Those are the ignorant sports fans I hate. Most Patriots fans I've met are like that, which is why I hate the Patriots.

It is distressing to be unable to find a psychic reader when you need one.
If only I could find career satisfaction from comparing myself to all the people I've ever met. Unfortunately for me, I get caught up with the whole "I'd like to do something that I find interesting and/or fun" thing instead of merely trying to keep up with others.

You should try Craigslist. I've heard you can find all kinds of things there.

Wedding planner/marriage counselor would be a job with some great synergies.
