Oh, shoot.

You just made me think of another. Well, two actually. Both The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart were great, but I would have to give the nod to Newhart . Both shows played off the fact that Bob and his wife seemed like the only really sane characters on each show. Newhart's characters from George the handyman, to Stephanie to Larry, Darryl & Darryl all the way down to the townsfolk were goofy and inspired.

And the ending, when Bob wakes up and Emily is in the bed was inspired. Perhaps the greatest sitcom ending of all time.

I'm proud to be an American

I recently ended up in the middle of a sing-along of God Bless the USA from which I could not escape. that was a whole lot of fun. Kind of catchy though.

Summer after 1L, I was "volunteered" to dress up as the firm mascot (a Legal Eagle, har, har) at the Corporate Challenge, or whatever the stupid little mini-Olympics thing was called. Kids are really mean to anything with a big bird head, it's a wonder I didn't die of heatstroke, and I got no furrie action. However, my performance brought much acclaim and I was rewarded with many beers. I was offered to come back for the next summer, but I had to decline. I suspected I was only valued as a ringer.

I got out of my middle-american small town where I grew up solely for the reason that the city forced all radio stations to play at least one Bad Company song every half hour...

Muscle Spasms

Every time I'm hungover I get one...like a little tic in my bicep or shoulder muscle or something. Driving me nuts. Anyone know how I can get rid of it?

accupuncture. but in light of gwinky's story you should wear a depends or plastic undies or something to ensure you don't make a mess on the table.

Edited to add that I have no idea if accupuncture would work or not, but the idea of someone shoving needles into your twitching muscle was oddly appealing.

Anthems are different. I sing both. But then again I like both countries.

edited to note that I do not sing the US anthem when they drag it out into a fifteen minute warble-fest. That is too much.

This might be a good way to ask for a massage, but not over the internet.

Try eating a banana. The potassium might help. Who knows, maybe a google search will show that potassium is depleted by excess alcohol.

Actually, note that that view is from the South, I believe, looking north with the Hudson on the left. So it's really like New York is giving the finger the to Mid-West, or to L.A., whichever strikes your fancy.

I think "the rest of the country" would cover it. (Those teensy states to the east of NY are too unimportant to bother giving the finger to; turning one's back on them is enough.)
