Now that even the left-leaning media is looking into the sources of Cindy's patrons, I guess it's time for the the circus to hit the road.
Quote:
CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - Iraq war protester Cindy Sheehan, whose vigil near President George W. Bush's Texas ranch has become a symbol for the anti-war movement, said on Friday she plans to focus on Congress, starting with House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, a Bush ally and fellow Texan.

Why DeLay of all people? He's a mere Representative. Why not take her tour to the homes of Senator Kerry, Senator Biden, or Seantor Clinton? Did they not all vote in favor of Iraq??
(Yes, this is a rhetorical question. We all know the answer)

There was a chance that DeLay was going to be taken out in the primary. Now Cindy is going to make sure that he is completely safe in his seat. The Democrats need to start distancing themselves from this idiot or any political capital they will gain from the war going badly will be thrown away.

You've got to be kidding if you think there was a chance that he was going to be taken out in the primary. They're fucking bringing Cheney to Sugarland next week to ensure that he keeps that seat. The Rs want him in there, and he'll stay in. He's been at sock hops and ice cream socials nonstop for the last month. Michael Fjetland is your savior? Ha.
ETA: That said, "why DeLay?" is because he's had to resort to sock hops and ice cream socials for the first time in 22 years over a year before the race. He's in deep shit and he knows it. Nick Lampson can raise money very, very well, and that's not even counting donations from people who will donate to anyone running against DeLay.
Article in Today's Chronicle on DeLay's sudden interest in Texas 22.
ETA: I haven't seen any non-fringe Dems aligning themselves with Sheehan.

He is doing exactly what he should be doing. I was at first sckeptical of Bush's not admitting any mistakes during the 2004 campaign. But after I thought about it I realized doing so would not do any good. It would not change any voter's minds. And he won pretty handily so it looks like that was the right decision.

Too bad they had to lie and fuck over the country to win. Cheers!

Take heart! People are going to eventually figure out that full employment, soaring financials, and goodwill in the M.E. aren't as important as having a real reporting-for-duty commander as prez, and, boy, will there be some red faces that day!

FYI, FWIW, while you were away we agreed that we won't revisit the Clinton years as long as everyone stops talking about how the 2000 election was stolen.

PLF's post was anything but inane. You should apologize.

From the FAQ at http://www.infirmation.com/faq/one.t...shion%20Tips#5
Q: What is a "SKEK"?
A: Back in the days of the first GA boards, people who logged in were concerned that people would be able to "out" them. That is, they were afraid that someone would be able to look at the list of messages, review all of the messages posted by a certain ID, and then figure out who was the person behind the ID. In an effort to curb that fear, as well as encourage the free flow of information, someone created an ID called "Stan_Kyle_Eric_and_Kenny," which is a reference to the characters on the TV show South Park. The password was "southpark," and the password was posted on the site. That way, anyone could log in with the same ID, and request information, with less fears of creating a visible chain of messages for random snoopers. (See "Transition Defense" or "TD"). At some point, someone changed the password from "southpark," and no one knew how to reset it. So, a new anonymous ID was created: Stan_Kyle_Eric_and_Kenny2. This, however, proved too long for the GAs to type, and the ID SKEK2 (the first initial of each name) was born to save wear and tear on GAs keyboards. Over time, however, the group ID was abused. People would log in as SKEK, and post juvenile, repetitive messages, interrupting the flow of discussion on the board. The founder of the board never deleted the messages or exerted any type of control over the club. Shortly thereafter, several people who had populated the club set sail for greener pastures, and created a new club called, RealGAs.

I couldn't agree more. As far as self serving scumbags go, I figured Clinton was the best I'd seen. I loved how he worked DC and we all had 8 great years of Rockefeller Republicanism. But, whooaaa, that fucking little shit from Greenwich via Texas has made Bubba look like a bench warming piker... where Bubba felt the need to manuever around facts, Bush just flat out fucking lies. When a program fucks over a load of people, he brilliantly renames it the "Helping the [insert fucked over group] Initiative." Briliant. He's proven a theory no one before him had the balls to test - that there are enough stupid suckers and soleley self interested people in America to elect a bad liar President.
Bush and his people have done nothing worthy of accolades. They've exploited the greed of certain voters and the shocking stupidity of others to create a majority.

This may be the most coherent analysis of the W administration that I've ever read. Other than the Pliffian Bathtub Incident.

To Delay is Exhibit A in the brief disporoving intelligent design.
One of the four most powerful men in the country is a fucking professional cockroach wrangler by trade. Maybe its time we have a little class warfare in this country... Seems to me somebody elected a large swath of the trailer park into office while we were all sleeping. Maybe its the Sapporo talking, but wtf is a motherfucking dipshit degenerate who was offing insects for a living doing with a serious amount of control over our legislative process? Isn't there a check/balance of some sort to keep someone stupid enough to believe in creationism away from the law making process? Wouldn't we all be pretty fucking scared if Delay came out and said "I believe in the Easter Bunny"? Yes, we'd be shit scared.
The easter Bunny is as plausible as creationism. Both are utter bullshit. Why is a man who believes in creationism holding so much control? I wouldn't let a person that goddamned stupid run the local fucking school board...
