Gift-giving help
I suck at getting gifts for my wife.
Her birthday falls on Mothers' Day this year. She'll be almost 7 months pregnant with our first baby on Mothers' Day. Therefore I need to get her two kick-ass presents.
Any ideas? She likes being pampered, and she likes when our home becomes nicer. And jewelry.

An iPod with the music she likes already loaded on it for her? (and upgraded earphones)
Prenatal massage? (though I think that the posters here have mixed views on that. and by all means, if this turns into a prolonged conversation about the pros and cons of prenatal massages, feel free to move it to the LWK board)
Antique locket for photos of the future str8II?
Sting tickets?

i don't get why you and less like AI. Your music taste (and certainly his) seem pretty far removed from lounge-level pop. I get why you might like watching Hung level bad but what fun is seeing who will be the next pop star singing music you wouldn't listen to?

It works assuming its him v Carrie but I have to think that maybe someone of more substance could be top two. Lets see, who has more substance? Vonzelle? Nope, too ugly. Scott, well he has more physical substance but, no. The twirp, nope. That leaves Bo. Like I said, his appeal might be to more of a People Who Love Tull generation but then, he seems to have a lot of people screaming in the audeince. How many points do you get for just being really fucking good? I think if its him and Constantine, Bo wins. But can Bo beat Carrie?
This is almost mindboggling.

I generally agreed with this analysis (Idol voters are pop and R&B fans, not rock) and was considering placing a bet on Constantine myself, but research (Google) dissuaded me. Three different online polling sites:
http://www.pennlive.com/expresstimes/html/poll.html
http://american.idolblog.com/
http://entertainment.ivillage.com/tv...=adid=15821702
suggest that Bo may have greater legs than Constantine.

I am not sure I have time to read all that stuff but do these sites seem to think BO has a chance to beat everyone? Or do they think Carrie is teh favorite?
I am guessing Bo came in first last night bc of the way they did things, but even if that is not the case, it is the case that the people behind the show seem to like him and (in the event things are fixed to some extent), would stack things in his favor. I don't really think Simon is into Carrie. And he is anti-country.
ETA: I don't know if I would bet based on that poll site- its not like a one person-one vote situation out there. I voted for Bo 25 times .

Maybe TM's fil is just getting a lot of trim.

Well, since he's gay, I'd say not likely. And on the mop front, TM would have a better chance of catching him than I would, since fil's a marathon runner and I am getting larger by the minute.
