Explain to me why

Why do people do this.

A colleague came up to me at work today and he said (in a normal tone of voice,)" Guess what I did last night Leagl?" of course I asked what. He says (normal tone) "On tv I watched" (now really really quiet) "The L Word." (normal tone) "I enjoyed it it was quite good."

I mean wtf?
The same reason people come up to me and say "I watched American Gigolo last night"

Or "Shakes the Clown"

He hasn't yet come to grips with being so cool. He needs some time to accept it. Maybe it is because he is talking about the love that dare not speak its name - he thinks it whispers its name.

My grandfather used to do the same thing (whisper words like "divorced", "cheating" - stuff like that). I think he did it so the children couldn't hear what he was talking about. Of course, when he whispered it *to* the children, it kind of defeated the purpose. Also, when he went very deaf, he just yelled it out like he yelled everything out.

As, the joy of the Lestertini

Haven't read the board for three days (and don't have time to now), so forgive me if NFH has already broke the story that Jeff Garcia had a .237 blood alcohol level - http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...JEFFGARCIA.TMP

Less (yeah, he had "a few" drinks) inSF

Sausages come in all sizes, from the cute little smokies to more lengthy kielbasas and girthy salamis. No one leaves the table hungry.

I am not the seller (if I were, I would not be needing someone else to take me through it) so I can't arrange for there to be a virtual thingy. 20 minutes is longer than she appears to be alloting for me to see the house, anyway. There is only minimal information about this house on the seller's agent's website. It did not have dimensions of rooms or anything. Just square footage and number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and some stuff about a new range.

Can you understand this? If not, PM PLF and he will explain to you.
It's not immoral, unethical, or even unseemly. Any suggestion otherwise is ridiculous. (Hi NFH!)

I am going to look at penthouses next week with one of my friends. He might be interested in a place, but he's not sure. The broker knows he's just looking and I am just along for design advice. She's happy. The owner's happy someone is seeing it. I am happy to see how the other half live and wistfully gaze out of the floor-to-ceiling two story windows.

Sigh.

Come on now, wouldn't you prefer munching a carpet to eating a sausage? How can you condemn me for having the same preference in food choice as you? And really, those of us that munch carpets instead of eat sausages, if you prick us do we not bleed? If you lick us do we not moan? If you show us a 10 inch penis do we not run away? Are we really all that different?

No, I say, a thousand times no. We are much the same. Well, except we give our girlfriends better orgasms. Still, I can hardly take credit for a God given gift.

They do, but probably not the kind you want:

I highly recommend this, though. BUt it could turn you into a maple-flavored lesbian:

What Does This Mean?

It says I have a new unread PM in my inbox, but when I check it, there are no unread PM's. Does this mean that someone on my ignore list is PM'ing me?

It is, in contrast, morally bad to waste our time continuing this discussion. Just take the fucking house tour, and let us know what sex toys they left in the closet.
