Absolutely. In both the Terms of Service and the FAQ. I am aware it doesn't specifically say cross-posting in the rules. Cross posting however comes under spamming/disruption of usual use of the board. It is also traditional netiquette not to cross post unless there is a very good reason for it.
Normally we delete cross posts. I figured you deserved a warning first though. I also didn't want you to think I deleted it because of the content of your message.
You can view the FAQ and TOS by clicking on the appropriate link under Main Menu.

Hmmmm. Read them and it certainly is not clear that there is no-crossposting allowed. Nor would I agree that "traditional netiquette" is as you say it is. However, I am happy to oblige you and will refrain from cross-posting in the future.

I may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night.
Would it change your opinion of what I wrote if you knew I were a black woman? And if it does, what does that say about you? FYI - not really looking for a response. I already know the answers.

Hi, Leagl. How was Thanksgiving in your neck of the woods?

I appreciate that, and yes, I agree it could be clearer. I need to redraft it. I haven't had the chance yet.
The answer to your second question is no. Doesn't make one bit of a difference to my opinion.
The idea that someone is somehow wrong because s/he chooses to marry someone of a different race is offensive to me. You, of course, are entitled to disagree. You could be black, white, latina, a visitor from a distant planet. You could be male, female or transgendered or some yet undiscovered gender. I don't much care.
Back to the board itself, you should know, generally, we ask people to keep political issues to the politics board. Of course there is some crossover. So if you wish to continue this conversation I am happy to do so on politics or via PM. As long, of course, that it remains civil.
So anyway, welcome aboard. You will, no doubt, meet some of the others on Monday or Tuesday.
Edited to say I didn't answer your second question did I? It was rhetorical of course, but it does actually require a response given my response is probably not what you expected. My response either has you sitting there scratching your head or thinking, bullshit. But I can tell you what your question says about you, at least on the surface. It says you haven't been reading this board long enough to know I'm not really the person to ask a question like that.
Unfortunately the point you were trying to make is well taken, since many people might well have cringed and said, oh sorry, you are black? That's ok then. What does the fact my response doesn't change say about me? Not much really. Just that I'm pretty consistent.

Not too shabby. The four-day holiday was definitely welcome in FuFuland. We tried tofurkey for the first time and even Mr. Fu had to admit it was good. It was great to ski again after rehabbing the knee for the past year, and from the quality of the snow it looks like we'll be making the trip to the mountains more often than we have in the past.

Guillermo del toro is back
His new horror flick, Hell Boy is in post-production. The preview looks good.

Sounds fun.
Here are the top 10 things I discovered on my thanksgiving trip. (in no particular order.)
1. My dad has a nice new house right on the river (well I knew that but I hadn't seen it.)
2. My dad got a new cabin cruiser which is a lot of fun. But I am afraid to drive it.
3. Porpoises jumping about in the bay are really neat
4. There are, in fact, alligators in Florida swimming around and hanging out on the river banks.
5. My nephew now screams (a happy scream) when I do this fist shaking thing I do with him that used to make him laugh and shake his fists back. My brother in law blames me everytime my nephew screams.
6. My father has a new girlfriend who is approximately 9 years older then my parents' marriage was long.
7. My brother in law's sister cannot control her child, who apparently decided since I sound like my sister and look a bit like my sister, I was a-ok and it would be fun to refuse to leave me alone.
8. My sister is a very good mother.
9. My nephew likes to cuddle with me on plane trips. (This includes kissing, or rather, slobbering on me.)
10. I really am glad I only spent 4 days in Florida

I never said anyone was wrong for marrying someone of a different race. It isn't a matter of right or wrong. I did, however, imply that who Tiger is choosing to marry speaks volumes about him and his psyche.
I will also say that when successful black men consistently choose to marry white women, it speaks volumes about this society.
Putting the cross-posting issue aside, I don't see my post as being all that different from Bilmore's, which reported on the same media event. We just had different thoughts regarding the significance of said media event.

You point out the difference yourself here. Bilmore announced the event. You engaged in political commentary on whether it is appropriate. Your initial instinct to put it on politics was the correct one. If your thoughts were, damn that is an ugly outfit, or those shoes are fabulous where can I get them, you would have been spot on.

You may consider a catchall provision prohibiting hate-mongering race-obsessed pricks with nothing to say. That may eliminate some quibbling.

Yeah well, you know me, I try to engage in polite conversation, get to know someone, before I dub them a hate-mongering, race-obsessed prick.
We have one:
You agree to not use the Service to:
upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is ... hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable
I just prefer mockery. Apparently, I am a bit too subtle.
Ok Hank, now, I made a porn forum. But I put my foot down at making a racist forum. You people have corrupted me enough.

Lordy, where to begin?
I indicated that this particular woman made me horny. (I mean, is she CUTE or what!? . . .)
You indicated that Tiger married a member of a wrong race.
Can I just leave it at that, and assume you get all of the unspoken stuff that might otherwise make this a long, boring post instead of just a short boring one?
(P.S. Learn. No one ever seems to get tongue-in-cheek.)
((Well, except MR.))
