jesus fucking christ, the "clique" is what keeps the board alive. I come here mostly to be passively amused and ignore my job for a while and have been reading this board and its predecessors for over seven years. I've never automatically skipped over any (real) poster's post, but with your recent explosion of odiosity (odiousness?), I felt the need to figure out the ignore function (on my own, before the debut of the burger button).

If a prospective newber doesn't like the clique here, then this prolly isn't the right place for that newber. To that (presumably disappointed) newber I say "Bon chance, newber. Hope you find a message board more to your liking." Not that anyone much cares what I say. And that's really okay by me.

I recall it being more of a triangular castigation, which hurts more because of the pointy bits. Even the metaphorical shapes you choose for your mode of discourse here are unnecessarily cruel and vindictive. That is the kind of thing that might make someone else stop and think about themselves. A lot.

No. all this bs could have been prevented if I had had the sense and the sack to say no initially. Rating someone is a form of control. You give the rater enormous power regarding dinging you or deeming you "hot" etc. Maybe I'm insecure and seek outward validation but I am not subjecting myself to that twice. And I know you'd be mean. I can smell it from here.

People who have issues with strong personalities use rating someone as a way to cut them down to size. Go cut someone else.
