But is not the critique as powerful as the creation?

On the subject of French rap, what would the cultured sophisticates here recommend for someone who liked MC Solaar's "Prose Combat," which still gets played in the car, and "Paradisique," which gets played but not so much?
I never dug any deeper than those two albums and I am sure there must be other albums by him or other artists from that era (or now) that would be worth tracking down.

Try IAM (L'Ecole du Micro d'Argent is probably the biggest) or NTM. Both are established types.
Interested in Celtic French rap? Yes, seriously. Way back in the day I bought a disk I continue to love, even if it's dated and goofy, by Manau (Panique Celtique - and they had another one that did well in 2000 - Fest Noz de Paname, I think).

See, this is what I'm talking about. Celtic French rap. You score big time obscurity points, and it is unlikely anyone will ever listen, so even if it sucks, you are pretty much home free on the "my music is cooler than your music" front. As for me, I am only listening to mash ups of d'n'b remixes of Australian aboriginal music with Swedish gangsta rap death metal.

Someone like you, with his taste in his mouth. I still haven't forgotten the idiocy you posted about not digging the Black Angels.
You're a good drinker, arguably solid on the boards, and you might be the finest fraudulent biller in history.* But you don't know jack about music.
*I hear you're a looker as well, and not Chinese, which we have in common.

Ah, whatever. When that happens, I will have already moved on to deep house remixes of 80s Brazilian disco as interpreted by Italian lounge jazz producers such as the Montefiori brothers.

I've never uttered or typed the words "Black Angels" in that order before now.
