The Unattractiveness of Shortness

I guess that's right -- if you're gay, NTTAWWT. Height isn't much of a factor when a guy judges the attractiveness of a person the of the relevant gender.

For straight guys, there is something wrong with being short. Women are known to prefer taller men. This is why short guys on average have fewer sexual partners &c than tall men.

No, the reason is, short guys tend to keep the women more satisfied, and so the women don't feel such a need to keep looking.

And no one, I repeat, NO ONE, should be proud of studying so hard to receive an A+ on an exam when a B- gives you the exact same result. This is completely irrational.
But one SHOULD study to get an A+ so as to further guarantee passing. One should study for total destruction of the test.

That's what I did. 7 days a week for 8 weeks. There was NO WAY, I was going to take that test again. Then when I freaked out and didn't sleep before the multistate, I still passed.

Paigow, you crossed the line with this post.

As someone who freaks out when she feels someone mentions anything that could out her no matter how ridiculously, absurdly tenuous, you should exercise the same care in posting about other people.

Not that you needed more reasons to get a TiVo if you don't already have one, but Rick Reilly's column in Sports Illustrated this week is all about himself slobbering over the TiVo experience.

I'd link to the column, but SI has recently adopted a policy of charging people for a good chunk of their online content, so it's not possible.

Sunday Clothes

There is a Chistian Scientist Church next door to my office. Two thoughts occur coming in this A.M.
1) there are more really old Christian Scientists than I would expect.
2) should they were coats?

Why? Is it cold in the Church?

That's a fine theory until you recall that guys are such sluts they'd fuck a woodpile on the off chance there was a snake inside.

Plus, the "&c" was intentional: e.g., short men are more likely to neither marry nor have children. Don't take offense, it's tit for tat dude. Women have height requirements for men; men have weight requirements for women.

Fuck. Seven days a week for 8 weeks? I took and passed two bar exams and worked until the day before on each. Sure I studied a bit, but I didn't get all uptight about it. For the first I had to travel to another city and just took some clothes and a case of beer -- if I didn't know the shit already I wasn't going to learn it in one night in a hotel. For the second I was 7 months pregnant -- the guy next to me asked if I could go into labor so he could assist in the delivery and "earn" a passing score that way. I laughed --- and passed.

Now I am off to hockey.

Cheers to Paigs.

Yeah, we make less money, have crappier jobs, and are taken less seriously. On the flip side, we are are always memorable, are prenaturably youthful (unlike some other claimants to that crown), and most important, not bothered by the lack of leg room in coach.

It also means you need feel no shame about thinking your brittany is a fuckalicious hottie -- it's not as if women aren't shallow.

art imitating life imitating art imitating life and so on and so forth

Unfuckingbelievable.

Article in today's NYT about a Santa Claus in the Bay area who says "namaste" to the Hindu kids. Can the Santa at Mall of America be far behind? Does Bilmore know this Santa?
