The Stones haven't put out anything relevant in almost 25 years now. I'm convinced they think NeoCon is a narcotic.

Mel Gibson is actually to the dumb end of the dumb actor spectrum. But Dennis Miller is closer to Bill Maher isn't he? he's more of a social commentator certainly than an actor.

Generally they seem to have much more common sense than rock stars and movie stars.

Don't NASCAR drivers, by their choice of occupation, evidence some basic lack of common sense? What's the average lifespan for them?

Is is the amount of Rock Stars and Music Stars. The fact that Dennis Miller and Mel Gibson support us is two points against us but the majority is with the opposition. So we must be doing something right.

Probably about even with rock stars.

He's neither. He's a waste of oxygen. I saw an interview with him recently - he barreled on through his whole "Look at me, Chachi ! - ain't I the coolest ?" schtick without a single pause. Never saw anything like it. The man's brain is in permanent Standby mode. He wouldn't recognize rational discourse if it kicked him in the balls.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Ironweed has challenged the rest of the Lawtalkers community to help raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina by offering to fund the board for one month if we can raise $500 and two months if we can raise $1000 for the Red Cross.

Donations can be made to the Lawtalkers paypal site on the main page or you can contact me at replacedtexan@hotmail.com or via PM to make other payment arrangements. Please note in the Paypal "payment for" section that you are making a donation for the Red Cross so I can earmark the funds and properly credit Ironweed.

But in both cases, you must balance the lower life expectancy with the higher availability of desirable tail in judging "common sense" of said occupations.

I don't know why, but the American public is the best voting public in the world. While other countrys populations got swept up by socialism, fascism, communism, statism, Gaullism etc. Americans have always stuck to their principles of free markets, free people and limited government. They have never bought into this other B.S.

That is why we have the strongest economy in the world, one of the highest per capita incomes, and why the consumers purchasing power is so strong here.

Country stars and NASCAR stars seem to have this same instincts. Something happens to people when they move to Hollywood or New York. They seem to forget what makes America special and start looking to other countrys as if they have got it better.

No one has got it better. That is why everyone wants to live here.

I really like both Bill Maher and Dennis Miller. Bill Maher is one of the few people who is against the war whose opinions I actually continue to listen to. I think a cross fire show with these two guys would be great. Unlike most ideologues these guys don't put up with Bullshit from either side of the aisle.

Too bad I am not a producer.
