Here's a generalization for you
Why do women put so much importance in their feelings and emotions. Obviously they don't all do it all the time. But damn it if it doesn't get annoying having to deal with the varying moods of women you're dating or whatever, which fluctuate based on how they're feeling that day.
Do I have to buy that stupid Mars, Venus book?

Don't buy the book. Just learn to nod and pretend to pay attention and say comforting things. Or promise to change and do some household chores. Do not, I repeat, do not, argue, and by all means, do not drag the issue into the realm of logic and then proceed to actually win the argument. Losing the battle here wins the war.

I've gotten to the point where about the only TV I'll watch voluntarily is "Lyin' Stan, the Weatherman", only occasionally, and that only to crosscheck what I get from the net. I'm not a fan of spectator sports, especially on TV; I prefer doing to watching. TV "News" has gotten so shamelessly bad that I'm a little reluctant to admit that I'm a member of the media, too. TV "Entertainment" has gotten unbelieveably coarse and tasteless. So why waste the time when there's other things to do?"

It's not nice outing Bilmore like that. And isn't this a violation of the TOS? Slave??

Agreed. It's not a win if you're the only person who recognizes the victory.
As men (or boys), we're easy. Usually when we're in a bad mood, all we need is either food or drink or both in front of us, and our mood changes. I'm like a baby regarding food: crabby when hungry and happy when eating/fed.

If you occassionally interject a statement that indicates you are listening (such as, "yes", "that's interesting" or "I agree") among the grunts, you'll find the continually heightening levels of frustration and resulting emotions would abate and you'd get yelled at less.
Of course, if they hadn't been dumb enough to sleep with you first and get all invested, they'd be able to just ignore the grunts and move on.

If only this worked with women...........we could just have a pizza delivered to fringe every afternoon and things would be more peaceful here.

I have no comment as to whether men's moods fluctuate more or less than women's, but I think it is kind of tough to criticize someone for having a mood that fluctuates based on how they are feeling that day. I mean, isn't that kind of what a mood is?

After spending part of the morning reading the PB, I suggest this might make an outstanding board motto.

Are you talking about how she's acting towards you in particular or to the world in general?

I would actually rather understand the thought process behind the behavior. I'm too stubborn to go along to get along. If there's a good reason for it, I want to hear it.

If that's how you're going to deal with what should be a beautiful moment that we will both treasure and hold dear to us for the rest of our lives, well then you can just keep it in your bra, missy. I'm not that kind of guy.

You're just being difficult.
If you feel like sleestaks should wear vests one day and the next you feel like they shouldn't because you are a little emotional for reasons that have nothing to do with sleestaks (and nothing else that you can actually express), it's annoying. Understand?

All you do, man, is stare at their mouths and wrinkle your eyebrows, and somehow you'll turn out to be a big sweetie, okay?
