I have a bunch of old pictures that I want in digital format and I haven't done this before. Photographing the pictures is proving to be more challenging than I had thought it would be, but sort of works. Anyone done the CVS/Ritz Camera (for example) thing?
Have them scanned, but try to find someone a step above CVS/Ritz - the equipment will be of better quality, and be cleaned and calibrated more often.

Third choice, a digital camera that is bolted firmly on to a tripod (or similar device) with bright but indirect light coming from all directions.
Back in the day, I did this to create a slide show from photos - it's a pain in the ass. *And we were using the camera mount thingy with lights on either side.

You're right. Send 'em to me and I'll scan them. But I want all the pictures.

My alternate suggestion for new thread title.

Eat it. Lick it. Snort it. Fuck it.

"Ignore" is no longer enough.

Me passing along second hand what someone said to me about RP does not create trouble for her.

Me saying the critical things about gwinc does not create trouble for her.

what he and bnb said about me is hurtful and a lie and potentially could cause problems. THAT IS ALL i AM SAYING.

I would not pursue legal action. everyone thinks I am nuts but I have been very discreet and close to the vest with all sorts of info. dammit and I receive zero credit for that.
I don't give a shit about whether or not you think I'm hot or not. I give a serious shit about the fact that, not once, but twice in posts here you talked about stuff that you found on my personal blog. Talk about bringing personal lives to the board. It was discussed not six months before when someone brought another personal page to the board, and it was universally decided that bringing stuff like that, even easily findable stuff like that was not ok in the slightest.

Both times my hit count on my blog went dramatically up immediately after your post. As far as I'm concerned you're not discreet with information about me in the slightest. And after the second time you did it--without any regard whatsoever for my personal privacy, just so you could barb me with a petty insult--I didn't really feel the need to particularly discreet in my blog, especially since you were so desperate to direct people there.

What I find most draining about this board is rehashing petty shit from almost a year ago.

It is year end things are very busy I'm closing a million deals and pitching in and helping a million people on a million matters.

Maybe I DO need a break but it isn't because TM or bnb wore me down or beat me into submission but it is the tired-assed double standard of do as I say, not as I do.

Good luck with that.

You are right. This board is no longer fun for a multitude of reasons some of which can be attributed to me, but truly darker and deeper reasons that go beyond that, into the depressing, mean spirited and malevolent vibe this board has developed. I can't take the whiplash feeling of being welcomed and respected and thought of intelligent in both the real world and the legal secretary site I frequent and then getting virtually beat up here by people I don't know and don't care about and frankly, have stopped respecting years ago.

As my friend once counseled me the small glimpses of humanity I receive here and there are not enough to counter the witch hunt and cruelty.

It's suuposed to be more efficient, especially for BBerries

I recall being advised that one should dress for the position you want to have (hence the blue overalls), so I have switched over to this format for all of my work-related emails.

It really isn't more efficient at all, since everybody opens the email anyway, because they can't tell othewise if the entire message is in the Re: line
