However, I'm going to be visiting my hometown soon, and it is a small town (relatively speaking) and yet there are two intersections in it with a donut shop on each corner (so four in total per intersection). Donut heaven. It once simultaneously held the title of the town whose junior hockey team produced the most NHL'ers and the town with the most Tim Horton's per capita in all of Canada.
I am very excited about my upcoming visit.

I am an honourary resident of Penticton. Have I mentioned that?

The New York separation of liquor and beer I'm used to (and now that the liquor stores can open on Sunday I never have to settle for just beer on a Sunday night).
In fact, when I walk into those combo stores in other states it just seems wrong, somehow. Buying a bottle of Jameson in a deli is strange, but to not be able to buy even a six pack -- anywhere -- on a weekday evening after 9 PM is a fucking disgrace.
I didn't go home empty handed, though - after the third store I tried I went into some shitty bar and asked if they sold for carry out. The good news was they did. The bad news was that my choices were Coors Lite and Bud. In cans. Budweiser in a can, cold enough, is actually pretty . . . ahh, fuck it, who am I kidding. Hell.

I like Bud cans, but Bud out of a bottle is piss. Coors Light is not even beer. I don't know what it is. Its not refreshing, it tastes awful and it has no booze in it. I guess you'd call it "slightly barley flavored seltzer."

No more strange than the Rite-Aid-brand vodka I once bought in New Orleans.

Notice to the Board:
In keeping with the more kinder, gentler, honest style of my resurrected self, I have replaced my Dave Scott avatar (whom I never really liked so much, but whom I did much respect) with an IRL pic. It's a little old but I don't age so it's more or less correct.
Carry on.

She'd still get it, though.

Hey Chevy
She looks phantastique in those shots. Hollywood needs more young stars and starlettes that possess such an air of class and harken back to its golden age.
Compare and contrast with La Lohan.
