I started with "go the way of the dodo" (10:16 a.m. CST), followed by "wave the [____] banner" (11:11 a.m. CST), followed by "hiding [your light] under a bushel" (1:15 p.m. CST), and I was planning to continue on until she caught on that I was mocking her for mocking me, but, alas, the board has turned the joke back on me by beating these inanities to death. Now if I continue I appear to be bandwagoning instead of engaging in my carefully contrived plan.
Foiled!
paigow, "you may have won this battle, but I will win the war!"
For those keeping track, she only mocked the "way of the dodo" one, but I'm sure she would have caught a few more before realizing the joke.
(back to the drawing board.)

And this my friends is the definition of the Post Hoc. Which you (and RP) all but invented. Your clliches werent cliche enough, not like your classic "I didnt get the memo" Further, it is pretty clear that they do not annoy me, but rather, as I have said many times, make the user of the cliche look unoriginal and unclever. ANd I didnt recall it was you who said the dodo thing (which is more of a lame simile than a cliche) , so try and put the ego aside and realize that it aint all about you. I do give you credit for being the new ruler of the board and the lord of the newbies, my good queen Cleoposta, oh benign ruler. Thanks for playing.

Ba a part of history!
Go outside tonight and see, for the last time in a while, five (count em! Five!) planets all visible to the naked eye at once!

I have, on occasion, said something like, "uh, can you button that button so all your cleavage isn't showing?" I'm sure there have been other occasions where I have been honest about how I feel about an article of clothing an SO has worn. This does not amount to grabbing the offending article and burning it, so as to keep it from every being worn again.
There is a fine line between (i) stepping out with your SO who looks sexy as hell and having people look at her and think so and (ii) having a bunch of pervs staring longingly at her tits which are hanging out of that way-too-low-cut top, trying to make eye contact or whispering things to her the first chance they get. One is not so bad. The other causes guys to cross the line in ways that are disrespectful to my SO and me. Expressing your displeasure over these kinds of outfits is natural. And let me tell you this, if you decide to dress up like an absolute hooker and your SO doesn't say anything, that's when you need to start worrying.

Observations:
1. I like watching guys hit on my wife. Its pure comedy. Some pathetic jackoff did it the other day in the mall. She gets annoyed, but its funny and harmless. Note: Saying "Well, how long have you had that problem" when a woman politely tells you she's married and shows you the ring ain't cute or clever. Its creepy.
I've never felt threatened by other guys hitting on my wife or past gfs. If its a cheesy pushy guido, I'll intercede, but that's rare. Would you rather have guys NOT look at the woman you're with?
2. I don't care who looks at my wife's cleavage. Have you ever been to South Beach or the Carribean? Do you forbid the Mrs from sunbathing topless or wearing a thong? Its just tits and ass. Whatever. If somebody thinks they're worth checking out, hell, I'm flattered. Reminds me I'm lucky to have her.
3. You might want to alter your hangouts. If there's that many cats hitting on your wife in one place, its obviously got a pretty shitty clientele. I've got very few "morals", but I would not be comfortable trying to nail another guy's wife. Call me a romantic, but I'd just get skeeved out by that whole process. These "players" who do the club scene and try to fuck everything usually hang out at shitty bars and add nothing to the scenery. That's probably why I don't do any trendy clubs. I find "players" to be the most amusing. They always assume they're a better catch than whatever she's got at home. You step up to them politely to bail your SO out and they get all fucked up and shocked. May favorite is the balding "Wall St" player* who assumes every chick can be purchased. He implodes when approached, but he always buys you a drink to show you his roll.
You and the wife must get into a lot of arguments. My wife would kill me if I tried to tell her how to dress.
* In Philly, this means half-assed money mgr or broker.

Bobby is a tool. His whole morphing into Jerry thing is pathetic. If you look at photos over the past two years, you can see the sybtle transformation.
A buddy saw Ratdog recently on the left coast and left after half an hour. He said it was awful, and he's a huge Dead fan from way back. If Bobby sucked out there, he'll really phone it in in DC.
You'll get the standard half hour Johnny B Goode jam at the end.
I had tix for this weekend free. Passed. I'd rather rent movies.

Two DH-type friends saw this.
They are still in shock. They say it wasn't pretty.

I saw Ratdog a couple of three years ago. It was okay. Not great though. And after scrolling down, it appears that they've gotten worse.

And I just wanted to see this again. I guess the question that is nagging at me is why I decided that, in order to see it again, I had to quote it, rather than just scrolling up and looking at the original post again, as I have done many times in the past when I have wanted to view for a second time a previously-read post.
This is really going to give me something to think about today.

Yeah, not great. It's where my Dad sent me to get a suit while I was in college. Like all dads, he's a cheapass.

I just wanted to see that again. And the reason I didn't just scroll back up to see it is because I wanted to isolate it so it could stand on its own in all its glory.
Perhaps that is what ncs and you were thinking as well.

Great. Thanks a lot. What I thought was going to be a day of intense and meaningful contemplation has now transformed back to day where I mindlessly perform a battery of tasks concerning banal legal minutiae. I would switch gears to start thinking about something like the moral implications of scientific advances relating to the ability to alter human genes, but you probably have a pat answer for that as well.
