An excuse to use "What's the point?"

Speaking of "what's the point":
- Dear Mr. Slave:
We need your help one last time. So far the debates have been two clear wins for John Kerry. And your actions after the debate have been absolutely crucial in keeping the Republican spin machine in check.
Tonight is the final debate between John Kerry and George W. Bush, the one where the post-debate spin will solidify and last until Election Day. If you have not taken action before, now is the time to do it!
There are four critical things you can do to help beat the Republican spin machine after tonight's final debate.
1. Forward this email to family, coworkers, and friends.
2. Vote in online polls.
3. Write a letter to the editor.
4. Call radio and television stations.
*** Vote in Online Polls ***
National and local news organizations will be conducting online polls during and after the debate asking for readers' opinions. Look for online polls at these news websites, and make sure to vote in every one of them:
CBS: http://www.cbsnews.com/
CNN: http://www.cnn.com/
Fox News: http://www.foxnews.com/
MSNBC: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/
Wall Street Journal: http://www.wsj.com/
Akron Beacon-Journal: http://www.ohio.com/
Atlanta Journal-Constitution: http://www.ajc.com/
Detroit News: http://www.detnews.com/
Los Angeles Times: http://www.latimes.com/
Minneapolis-St. Paul Star-Tribune: http://www.startribune.com/
Orlando Sentinel: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/
Philadelphia Inquirer: http://www.philly.com/
South Florida Sun-Sentinel: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/
And be sure to check the websites of your local newspapers and TV stations for online polls. It is crucial that you do this in the minutes immediately following the debate...
Thank you,
Terry McAuliffe
Chairman
PS: Make sure to forward this email to at least 10 other people who will be watching the debate. Also, print out copies for your friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors and get them involved.

First, great job on distribution. I think this will reach at least 10 of us who will check in at all of those websites. I know I will. And I'll forward it around, too, so it's working.
Second, I agree that your actions have helped keep the Republican spin machine in check. Good work!

Alarming presence of genocide in the world? You remind me of an acquaintance who recently belted out this gem, "You know, the bad thing about plane crashes is....um....so many PEOPLE die."
You are a simplistic, annoying little fuck. If in fact you were having a conversation with Bilmore, then I must remind him to stop feeding the trolls. I don't mind a good debate with Ty, and certainly not with Atticus. You are the ONLY poster on this board who, in my view, contributes ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of value. It is painful to read your posts. I would like for anyone who can cite to something of value you contribute on this board to go ahead and do so now.
I do not post often on here. And when I do, I expect some respect, Sonny. Now drop, give me 20 mountain climbers, and then get back to your "sammiches".

How in the world did I miss this. Public transit capital funding? I didn't learn about why anyone would want to ban that outright in school. You mind doing roads along with that?

It's you. Bush is losing it. Twice already he's started a response with "Whooo-eeeee." Plus, Kerry is under the president's skin and he's flustered. At least on TV, he's coming across as both glib and angry.

Kerry voters will be sure Kerry won. Bush voters will be sure Bush won. The seven or eight undecided voters who haven't read a newspaper or watched TV for eight months, and who are even now saying "damn, what's this on all the channels?" as they scan through the debate channels won't watch it at all, but they will follow what their favorite comedian says later tonight.
Jay Leno - power broker.

Can someone who is objective weigh in?
Note: I called the first debate for Kerry and the second a draw.

Draw so far. All that really counts are gaffes, gaps, and goofs, and so far, nobody's gone there.

Kerry and the Dems have goofed big time by not drawing attention to the 2001 IOM report on medical errors.
