The Not Bob phone just rang -- apparently, I have to depose Fugee next week.

Definitely not a Harlequin style book and it focuses on the politics. As I said in my earlier post, since it relies on a lot of primary documents. It was written in the late 50s, so before the pop-historical style that Weir likes so much came into vogue. To Weir's credit, I think she gets a lot of people to read history that probably wouldn't bother otherwise.

I am too lazy to go the Gym, so I workout at home, but I am pretty good about staying with it. I used to do two sets of fifty pushups. I decided to push up my whole work out routine, which included moving from fifty push ups to one hundred push ups.
I was able to double all my other routines, but I can't get past seventy push ups. I have been stuck there for three weeks now. I just get to around seventy and can't do any more.
Anyone know what is going on?

You have reached a plateau. You can't keep getting stronger forever. Increase your protein intake and you'll build muscle and get stronger.

Penske and flower can help if you don't like protein.

I guess I wasn't clear. I was doing two sets of fifty. So I was getting to 100 no problem. I did that for years. But I got the point where I wasn't looking any better so I pushed up all my numbers. But with the pushups I just couldn't go past seventy. It was just weird. With all the other excercizes the more I did them, the more reps I could do. But with pushups I just hit a wall with seventy.
Every day I get up and tell my self that this is the day I get past seventy, but it never happens.

As for the sustenance aspect, tasty as it is I think I would have a problem because I'm lactose intolerant, and breast milk is very high in lactose.

I'm not big on these clubs, so I'm just asking: doesn't eye contact ruin the main purpose of being there? I get the play Spanky's making, but it seems a big risk with little % chance of reward.

If she has already made the money she wanted to make that evening, or if she has given up because it is a slow night, you just might be in business.

This story ends with an insurance claim for a stolen diving watch and a bill from a locksmith for new deadbolts.

If I increase my protein intake will I be able to hit a hundred or will I just get bigger. I know I am sounding a little obsessive here but it was a goal I set for myself and it is rather frustrating not being able to get there.

Back when I lived in DC and was a student, I resided in a number of apartments/houses over a number of years that were (a) in Georgetown or slightly north of it, proper; and (b) lacked washing machines/dryers. There was a laundrymat on Wisconsin Ave. north of G-town. Next door was a stripper bar-can't remember the name, but it was sleazy. Across the street was a stripper bar, Good Guys. I'd go do my laundry and while I was waiting for wash and dry cycles to cycle, I'd go watch the strippers and drink beer. And I got one to go home w/ me, albeit via an encounter in the laundrymat, she was doing her laundry between sets and a conversation about fabric softener led to another thing....
|
true story: I was friends with a stripper* who worked in DC for a while at a strip club that was located near Sign of the Whale. I forget the name of the stripping establishment. Do you know it?
*adding my anecdotal evidence to Spanky's, she was crazy, had low self-esteem and had a pretty bad coke habit (which tended to make her all the more crazy). she could be a lot of fun though.

In the alternative, you could:
1. Stop telling yourself that; or
2. Get a weight vest or put some books on your back and try to get to 70. After a few weeks of that, I guarantee you break 70 if you remove the weight.
