Don't you have an already-huge rack? If so, I wasn't starting from the same place as you. It's just from Gap. Probably not supportive enough, but some days I just can't stand the thought of a bra. Too confining.
And congratulations.

Today I'm wearing one of those support tank thingies. (I am also wearing black yoga pants - my first pair of yoga pants -- and I have one thing to ask: where have yoga pants been all my life? The reasons I'm wearing them to work, in case anyone is wondering how low my standards have sunk, are that I have a yoga class after work, they are brand new and actually look pretty sharp, I have to do laundry, and let's face it, all my contact with anyone who might care what I'm wearing is over the phone, so why bother? But I do digress.)
Anyway, I know that under ordinary circumstances, those support tank thingies draw a man's eye to the boobies -- checking them out is a nearly irresistible impulse. But this was not on my mind as I took of my black cardigan during my walk to lunch, because I am, at least in this form-fitting outfit, fairly obviously pregnant, and would have thought that I was ogle-proof. But instead, in the span of four blocks, I got honked at, whistled at, hey baby'd, and hey sister, looking good'd by four different men or sets of men. This is an unusually high amount of catcalling for me, even on a very good pre-getting-knocked up day. It was kinda squicky.
So what gives? Are there a lot of preggo fetishists out there, or are the boobs so awe-inspiring that they don't notice the other single bump below it, or are these just men who like a girl with a belly?
|
Did you ever stop to think that you might have been rather attractive pre-pregnancy?

Frank Gifford probably disagrees, but I don't think that his head has ever been right since this:

I think it could be sexy on a chick. The thought of a naked man in socks makes me cringe.

No. Like boxers. And a t-shirt for warmth.
That is, on the few nights when it's not an all-night love-making session. Although I do wear socks for that.
ETA: Hi SEC_Chick!
EFTA: Boxers like these:
Which, oddly enough, are available at the "pajamas" tab of the LLBean website.

Thanks. Perhaps I may get big enough up top that I will have to solicit RT's advice in the rack support department.
Any tips on work appropriate maternity clothes?

That's interesting. I always used to sleep with socks on, and if I went to bed wtihout them, and couldn't fall asleep, I'd put some on and be fine. But now my feet don't get cold, and Ifind even socks too confining.
Like you, I also took to sleeping naked after ending a long relationship in which I almost always wore something to bed. I used to be unable to fall asleep naked, and now it's the opposite, unless it's really cold in the room.

I am wearing yoga pants, so work-appropriate is clearly not a concern for me.

I don't get this.
Either one sleeps naked or with some article of clothing. Am I not hip to the times in calling what I wear to bed pajamas?
|
I wear boxers to bed. I do not refer to boxers as pajamas. Pajamas are a shirt and pants bed outfit. They look sexy on some women.
They do not look sexy on you.

It depends on what they cover.

So you have to put on underwear just to go to bed?

Yes, something big and baggy, preferably in a fuchsia or aqua or teal. Now take this to the Greedy Moms and The Men They Trapped Board.
