Because more goes into the equation than color, ass bait. There are a number of reasons, including power dynamics between men and women (actual and perceived). There are fewer black women in these types of positions as there are black men as well.

Look, your problem is that you want to throw everything into one big category. Does society value a European beauty ethic above all others? Yez. Have many of us internalized this beauty ideal? Of course. But don't shut out every other factor to draw one absolute conclusion about a person you don't know shit about. Because it's a waste of everyone's time.

FYI, The Smoking Gun (dot com) has a copy of the transcript of of the telephonic search warrant which has all the facts and details as told by the investigating officer--who comes of sounding like an idiot because he keeps correcting himself and trying to talk in legaleaze.* Apparently, the people on the scene wanted to be cooperative, but someone at MTV told the cops that they would go through the videotapes and employee timesheets and decide what, if anything, they would and wouldn't show to the cops. THat didn't go over too well with them.

*not intended to imply that he hates himself for not being a lawyer or a lesbian.
