Are you a good writer? Are you the guy who ends up writing the group's persuasive letters, or the reports to the clients? Then, submit something more free-form that showcases those talents - something with excellent word usage and grammer, which exhibits the ability to clearly communicate complex thoughts cleanly. Don't use a pleading, or a strictly legal-argument-based doc - too confining, too stilted, to show what you want shown.

If you are weaker, or simply more of a technical writer, then submit your best SJ brief, or legal analysis memo.

And I wasn't joking about the typos.
And spelling. Don't forget the spelling.

If it weren't for the spelling, Bilmore coulda been a contendah. But seriously, Bilmore's a very good writer -- as are quite a few people on here -- take his advice. Oh, and send it to me for proofreading. I'll bill you.

I'm surprised you were willing to give up your Fisher Price toys at such an early age.

It should be obvious, but you do have to clear with the firm and the client any memo that is attorney work product or client communication. redacting isn't enough.

And 2 years is too short to change jobs? Eh? I thought a job reached its sell-by date in two years. The only problem is if you don't like the next job and you want to change again.

of course, it depends on twhether he has an area of expertise or is some fungible ligtigator type who learend everything he needws to know in Civ Pro.
Good point. And the worse the market (and it's not great now, though better than 2 years ago) is, the more that will be scrutinized. Of course everyone wanted to jump ship when the next door over was rallying up a salary hike. Generally, if the headhunter is calling you, then you don't need to worry that it's too early, but if you're seeking, not being sought, then that's a different story. I got my job because some Texas debutante got engaged and went home to plan her big-haired wedding just 3 months into the year. THey were desparate for a first year with a pulse and I was qualified (having a pulse and all)

What made you so hot at 14? Did you have TITS at 14 and then lost them somewhere? Were you slutty and/or promiscuous? I just envision you as a more petite person who would look about 12 years old at age 14 and who would not be the type of early developer that sleazy older men of 21 hit on.

Actually, he took me to return a CHristmas present that I didn't want (from my father) because I couldn't drive and i happened to see it and said "wouldn't that look funny on the roof of your car" and he said "ok" so we exchanged the funky chicken alarm clock for the farm. Now I wish I had the funky chicken alarm clock.

Many other posts have had similar impression or stain making effects on posters that they cannot shake (while at the same time, other posters cant get a board persona or personalty charactertistic for their life - see for example, Not From Here). As an example, MR will also be your rimjob man. What are some of the great posts that have forever gave a poster em's persona? Or alternatively, is there a single post that forever immortalizes a poster whether em likes it or not? Like the "Its a foul truth I utter" by Sebby? ANyone?
Dunderhead: I joined the Sting fan club so that I could buy primo tickets and put them on eBay. That may preclude my hipsterness in your book, and that's fine, but please don't have the impression that I like Sting, or own any Sting albums, or have ever been to a Sting concert. (Though I do own Synchronicity, but I'll defend that, as it's a very fine album).

All true, but her nipples worked really well with her tattoo.

I really can't say except that I haven't grown in any way much since then, so I think it was the punk rock skater girl with long shapely legs thing. I had blonde hair down to my ass and a collection of like 20 differnet pairs of vans. I was every tattoo-artist-to-be's little skater betty.

How would FCOB know what your swimsuit area looked like?

I was seriously wondering though because it's not that hard to envision an older dude hitting on an overdeveloped pre-teen/teen or one who is very promiscuous or overly done up or something but I always thought you were a straight laced little girl looking person when you were a little girl, which I don't typically place in the category of "jail bait."

Was it an alarm clock that did the funky chicken, or just an alarm clock shaped like a chicken and thus funky?
