You and NCS can both come visit my den. I will put a little Donovan on the turntable and apply my extensive experience to determine which of you qualifies as a spinning hippy chick.

I'm no spinning hippie chick. I'm more of a spinning hippie chick observer. I have done extensive research on the spinning hippie chick culture however and I like to think that I have the ability to pick out spinning hippie chick poseurs.

Yeah, but there's the "back to you in the booth" [and we're out] SMACK! approach.
Or the more subtle discussion with one of the backup qbs to help revisit the classic Man Getting Hit by Football in Groin.

Yeah. She was pretty poised about it, although it mystifies me why she went back and asked him another question after his first utterance of "I could jusht kissh you."
At first, we wondered whether he had had a stroke or something, although given how close he was to Suzy, she must have smelled his breath, unless he's a vodka guy.

That would be my choice.
She does get major points for on-camera poise. But after that I hope she whacked him.

She should have called him for unsportsmanlike conduct and given him 15 yards.

The Last Samurai
I hate Tom Cruise but this movie RAWKED. I have a crush on Ben Watanabe, who plays Samurai Kitsumoto. I read the book (at least started it--not yet done because I was side tracked reading The Da Vinci Code, which also RAWKED.) Does not exactly follow the book, and certain cheese-doms, but overall a must see.

I thought that she handled it very well -- though I have to admit that I was really worried about Joe Willy there for a bit, and am relieved if turns out that he was just hammered. I thought that maybe all those hits to the head he took as a Ram late in his career had caused him to develop mental problems. Seriously. The way he was talking and what he was saying -- it was painful even before he hit on Suzy. And his line came across as more pathetic than lecherous.
The question I wonder about irregardless (ha!) of whether he was drunk or stupid is why ESPN chose to put him on the air. I assume someone found him on the sideline, asked him if he wanted to opine about Pennington, etc. Don't you think that after seeing him for 15 seconds that you would have made some excuse about not having time instead of putting the man on live with Suzy?

I think she behaved in a proper and Christian fashion. It is now up to us to crucify him.

I'm hoping that ESPN creates an ad mocking the whole thing. ONe of those sportscenter things. Suzy walks through the halls. Every guy comes out and sez "I could just kiss you." We'll know she's cool about it if she does the ad.

Did your law school not have the Great 2L Transformation where all the shaggy Dead freaks shaved, washed and got perfect little corporate haircuts the week the corporate interviewing started?
Must've been just ours. But I did already hate the Dead and love a sharp handbag so it was a lot easier.

See, someone whose opinion on films I trust said exactly the oposite (i.e. to stay away) and that is just sucked. Sounds to me like this is a love it or hate it film. I think I'll wait for video.

Doesn't that theory fall if there's a direct correllation between height and penis length? And if I'm not mistaken, there is -- and not in your favor.

To use ABBA's word, that would RAWK. And, combining threads, the Rich Eisen ads for NFL Network are heeelarious.

I don't mind the 2L transformation from scruffy to corporate, but I hate when all the girls get mom haircuts and develop an affection for blouses and pearls. Ick.
