I see your point. Listen, I'm going to refresh my drink, now, okay? We'll talk again real soon.

Rudy is too liberal to be Bush's AG.

Social issues. Isn't he pro-choice and somewhat gay-friendly?

Things to look for at God's Own Party fete
The coolest new accoutrement in NY this week? Band-aids with a cute little Purple Heart on them.
When Cheney and Bush speak later this week, let's see if they're wearing one of these.
Didn't see one on McCain during a replay of his speech, though he didn't move his hands much. Maybe Dole will sport one during a CNN interview or something.

most disturbing thing in politics this week?
Clearly a Baldwin brother endorsing President Bush. Stephen Baldwin, born again Christian, says he's in favor of the guy with more faith. GWB baby. I'd say all is lost, but the bulk of the Baldwins haven't hopped onboard yet, so they may end up in Kerry's camp.

Yet another attempt by the Bush campaign to woo the undecided voters. You gotta respect them - this may ultimately prove to be even more effective than the Swiftboat Veterans Nursing a Thirty-Year Grudge campaign.

You make it sound sarcastic, as if they haven't been effective. Check the poll numbers in the last 2 weeks, particularly after Kerry and Edwards started screaming louder than little girls at an N'Synch concert. And that's before the convention. Unless you people can buy Kerry a smile, a personality and an alibi, this race is over. Which is to say, this race is over. Thank you Navy.

Your assumption that I was being sarcastic is wrong, which makes the rest of your post a waste of electrons. I know they've been effective; my point was the group is motivated by...oh, why bother. You'd whiff on that too.

I'm not convinced on this yet. There is still 60 or so days to go, Kerry has at least 40% of the vote wrapped up, and no president has gotten 50% of the vote since at least 1988. This is still going to be close, and a lot can happen in the time remaining, especially in the debates. I know W is always misunderestimated, but I cannot breathe a sigh of relieve until the 3rd debate is over.

Kerry claims he supports the military, but wait and see how Dems treat the votes from these same men and women who may be dead tomorrow. Support the troops indeed.

An editorial questioning email votes? That's really disenfranchisement. I suppose you'll also charge us with treason from complaining that the CEO of Diebold has promised to "deliver" electoral votes to the GOP this year. Why, oh why, do we hate democracy so?
Meanwhile your party is respecting our troops by doing this:
Quote:
Delegates to the Republican National Convention found a new way to take a jab at Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry's Vietnam service record: by sporting adhesive bandages with small purple hearts on them.

I find this to be extremely shitty, beyond whatever else has been slung at Kerry. That may be because I skipped breakfast this morning though.

Gotcha. Because a statement saying the support of a Baldwin could make a big difference shouldn't be taken as sarcastic. Okay than, if its not sarcastic, its not funny. Did you borrow Shape Shifter's sense of humor today or have you always been not_funny?

A few weeks ago, I was at a house party. The kids were playing outside, and the adults were inside talking about boring stuff. So all was going as expected, and we were all relaxed, having a good time. After a while, the hostess' 9-year-old daughter came inside. This girl, while not wanting for attention, nonetheless has the unfortunate (and all too common) trait of demanding more than her fair share. She walked up to our group, listened to what we were discussing (the gender politics of my wife's employer) for about 30 seconds, then announced, "He should stop being so mean to you because that's not nice. He should..." and she went on from there for about another 30 seconds. The hostess scooped up her still-talking daughter and sent her outside to play again, and we carried on our conversation from there.
Which is to say, next time I want to have a little light back and forth with Bilmore, I'll pm him.
