Must have lied like Clinton.

I also know that one of that person's partners in crime got dinged by the FBI for prior drug use.
Doesn't CIA say that, but then make exceptions for covert ops? Don't they hire criminals because that can get them inside info? Not that CIA is doing something about domestic drug traffic. That wouldn't be in their mandate.

Personally, if the evangelicals are running the country, and they believe one can be born again, why can't the FBI, DOJ, and others forgive and forget?

I think the NY Times had something on this recently, BTW. heres the CNN article i found on google. IIRC, someone in the article was quoted as saying that there's no difference between 15 and 50 because anyone who's smoked 15 times has smoked 50. I think that's Penske's friend.

I like McCaffrey's quote: "The 16th time smoking pot is the killer." Is that tongue in cheek?
Penske didn't have 50 pot smoking experiences, he had 1 experience 50 times. Does that make a difference?

Try 50 times a month for a college career. Four years though, to her/his credit.

True. That could have been it. It is not somethjng the person would talk about and in fact, denied, but the context of the denial was such that it may have been an affirmation.

I think so. My friend was more a foreign service school person. I'm sure based on my history of posting, you can probably narrow it down to one of two schools.

I agree. We have lost a lot of otherwise quality talent over a form issue.

20 or more fecta posts results in automatic disqualification. Also, you may have to report to the bar.

Oddly enough, Clinton seemed to have that figured out. They opened the doors of DOJ to the potheads during the Reno years.

Yes, they really torched one up at Waco-Fest '93.

Shit, Bilmore. Back in our day, you COULD smoke it 15 times a day. Could smoke the whole damn joint, too, in almost cigarette-like fashion. Why is the stuff so strong now? A friend showed up the other day with a thingy that looked like a (but was a fake) cigarette -- two hits and I was running off to play Break On Through on my Klipschs and I couldn't smoke any more of it that night!!

I like my reefer weak (though my men strong) so I can grab a bunch of it out of my baggie, roll a fat one, watch it burn, walk around with it for a while at Allman Brothers concerts and share the love with other right wing potheads.

*sigh* It's just not the same anymore.

When I was in undergrad, I had this politics professor who, every so often, would get this goofy smile on his face and just stare off into space for about three or four minutes in the middle of class. Then he'd kind of shake his head and come back from wherever he had gone and ask "What were we talking about?"

Jonathon?

Finally . . .

Egypt has finally relented, realized that Israel's pullout from Gaza was actually a handover of Gaza to Egypt (what a great present!), and has taken over the PA.

Meaning, Palestine is closer to being subsumed back into the surrounding countries, where it belongs.

Douglas Ginsburg.

And I disagree with sebby. Even the FBI is apparently relaxing its "no past drug use" policy with respect to pot. Eventually so many people will have smoked it in high school/college that it won't be socially or professionally unacceptable.
Someone I know recently interviewed and after disclosing somewhat recent pot use was advised that it was necessary to be clean for one year.
