Did you have this twitch before ppnyc came back? Does it flare up after reading her posts?

I spent a few hours recently trimming the trees and raking the leaves on the side of my house. I didn't do this because I thought the neighbors would care -- I just wanted it to look tidy. Does that sound plausible to you?

The two are inextricably linked.

He may disagree with me but I'm told I look young. College interns have expressed shock I have kids they thought I was their age. It is in part energy level as well not just looks I don't smoke either.
You should groom. hair, eyebrows, artfully applied makeup
Ny is all about women getting mileage out of being thin and ugly or thin and stylish but not so pretty.

I don't need makeup, but when I do wear it, I just slap it on willy-nilly.

So it's impossible for women not to worry about what other people think of their appearances. Is the same true of men?

2. except for the "love" part. Oh and one difference is that Dilbert is in one area of the newspaper's comics section, and you can go to that area to read Dilbert if you like Dilbert, OR AVOID THAT AREA. These posts are right in the way when reading along, and you can't know it's dilbert until you are in them, so you don't know to scroll by.

I think botox is excessive. Just my opinion aren't we all about opinions around here?

There's nothing botox does that duct tape doesn't do cheaper. You just put some on your forehead at night and voila, no more furrows.
Call me frugal.

Not sure Ty but my point is I am not afraid of getting old. I will maintain my grooming but I really and I will face it when I start to wrinkle....I'd rather not have my facial muscles frozen to try to "maintain my looks"

We weren't talking about you. We were talking about everyone else. I accept your view of your own motivations as (relatively) authoritative. I'm curious about your view of everyone else. If I said that I try to maintain a youthful appearance, would you say that I must be doing so because of societal pressures, or is that true only of women?

mm. Men and botox? Men feel societal pressure to fit in. For instance why do so many bankers have the same rolex or patek? it's like a uniform.
Men botox and do comb overs and rugs in an attempt to do the youthful vigor thing. I breathed a sigh of relief when Rudy Guiliani finally gave it up those 2 strands. let.it.go.
Societal pressures cut both ways. sure. society prizes youth.
Look at that 24 year old on the Rangers. he's so hot.

Yes, but you are not just about opinions, you are about passing judgment.
I do not judge you for anything. I don't like you, but I have never passed moral judgment on you for anything. I don't care how you live your life. I have never commented on your looks. I have never commented on the men you find attractive or whether men find you attractive. I have never commented on your desire to improve yourself by dieting and exercise. I challenge you to find a post by me on any of those things.
You have passed judgment on just about everyone on this board. I have commented on that. It is the trait about you that I do not like and it taints everything that you post. It makes you appear sexist, elitist and yes, judgmental. I have called you on that.
That's all.

I keep my hair buzzed short to 000 on the clippers. When it gets about a 1/4 long, I rub bull semen (readily available over the internet) over my entire scalp, then go to a tanning booth and bake it dry- next rinse with wheat grass. then i go get it buzzed.

OK, but you're not answering my question. Are they inextricably linked for men, to use your words? If a man is taking care of his links, is it necessarily because he's worried about what other people will think, or is it possible that he just likes looking good?
