I pay no attention to football. If it's not baseball season, I'm watching hockey. I find it mildly amusing and incongruous that there apparently is real football (e.g., not Harvard-Yale or Amherst-Williams) played in N.E.

Indeed, the climate is so incompatible with the sport.

Such fun! What a charming collection of large, brightly-colored objects. I do find it so very refreshing to be reminded from time to time of what passes for "art" in the provinces.

If you don't count the pink-hatters, the baseball IQ goes way up.

I just don't think of us as breeding 'em quite so big or stuffing the corn-fed beef down their gullets to fatten 'em up like they do in the midwest.
N.E. is a kind of corn on the cob and chicken barbeque kind of place. Football is a sport for people who eat bloody raw red meat.

Indeed. This also touches upon a larger truth.
* Rule 1: Everyone else's team has a fan base comprised of, to variying degrees, a bunch of obnoxious assholes. Luckier teams have nicknames for these fans which incorporate clever references to geography, intelligence, or genetic makeup.
* Rule 2: In the dark, early morning hours, when you awake and can't get back to sleep, you admit to yourself that your team's fan base sucks, too.

Actually, I've heard this is more a functional than a purely artistic endeavor. Sort of a Gymboree for the over-30 set.

Kurt Cobain About A Son
In case anyone was interested in going to check out this documentary, wait til it comes out on DVD....it's just a lot of Kurt Cobain talking with random unrelated visual images of random unrelated people etc and is really boring. They should have just released the audio tapes, or used actual photos and footage from Kurt's life. I give it 1.5 stars out of 4.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Here we'd call that the kid's room, or part of a day care. How could you and all your friends go there w/o kids. Have any of you bred? Next time save the price of admission and go to McDonald's. They got the ball bounce thing.
