Guest lecturer?!?!?

So, my sister is an art teacher at a high-school-of-last-resort. I'm going for a visit and thought I'd like to see her in action. Her brilliant idea is that my visit should have a purpose, and I should give a 10-minute presentation to the kids. She was initially thinking art history or something, but my art history is pretty rusty. I'm thinking more along the lines of copyright and trademark law for artists. Anyone by any chance have something already put together I can steal? Chevy, where are you?

Thanks

tm

No offense, but this doesn't sound too fun. Maybe wear something a little revealing to the presentation?

I think I promised a Magic Flute update back in the fall sometime. Anyway, I went to the Magic Flute on Saturday and it rocked. The Queen of the Night was awesome, as was Pamina. Also, I thought the Lion King-ish animals and set design really worked. A little overdone on the freemason symbols though. Kind of busy.

Well, my impression is that art is the one area these kids are genuinely interested in. And I'm thinking only 10 minutes, and informative but fun, not technical.

In Utah. In a small town. How bad could they possibly be?

Hand out a stencil of the copyright symbol to assist them when they're working with spray paint.

Dunno, but that's where my dad got his in 1967. It's a really pretty certificate.

ETA: Upon phonecall verification, I was told my grandfather "knew somebody." I interpret this to mean "a judge got bribed," but it's possible just some clerks and lawyers got bribed.
