Not friendship with NotBob. So, I guess in the end, it's NotBob's inability to say something mean, but honest, that has her flailing against everyone. Thanks a lot, NotBob. Way to go.

Maybe if I blow-dried it after I just rinsed it, it'd be different. Hmmmm. Well, this will be fun to experiment with for a while.
um, the goal is soft hair.

Excellent. Make sure that you bring plenty of baby oil. You can worry about the shampoo later.

Um, yes, and maybe if I were to blow dry it after rinsing it, instead of just lazily letting it dry, it would not get stiff.

My goal is pretty, healthy-looking, shinyish, soft hair. Not crappy-ass-looking soft hair.

See the thing is, every time a spat develops, NotBob will gets involved, because he'll eventually not be able to stand it anymore and we'll get another "be nice to one another" posts. Don't think that his posts are not directed towards you, too. Every time you start fighting with someone, you'll eventually drag NotBob into this.

Please. I agreed not to discuss NotBob. He is a good friend and I do not wish to drag him into this.
You clearly have absolutely no interest in letting bygones be bygones. I am willing to put all your judgmentalism in the past and start fresh. It's up to you to decide what to do next. I'm done.

maybe instead of simply telling people not to be mean to each other (read don't be mean to PPNYC), perhaps notbob would see more sucess if he explained why he likes her. list her strong points, pleasant personality features, etc.

We are mostly reasonable. Everyone is assuming NB just doesn't want any hate being spewed- maybe he actually sees merit, and maybe, just maybe if he posted on his insights others would get in line. Pretty soon we'll be like massive logs of friendship for PPNYC rolling downhill crushing the thurgreeds and GWNCs of this board.

We call on you Not Bob. Tell us why.

And now back to The Black Dahlia... RT, I have to admit that I was much happier with the book before I read the last 20 pages last night. The final 2 plot twists felt like finally too much for me. Too unbelievable and contrived. Did you like the ending? This maybe should have been a PM, but maybe someone else has read it? Any interest in reviving the book club board? I've been really into reading lately (escapism from my dislike of work much?).

The problem, sadly, goes even deeper than this.

ppnyc believe she has NotBob's imprimatur. I am not sure why, but she does.

I've told NotBob this. I hold him personally responsible for a lot of the "odius" behavior that's gone on around here lately.
