Hmm. Now I sorta think maybe you wrote your clever little ditty and then invented Racebait to prepare the way for its debut. Very sneaky for a minion. Have we not been sending you enough work?

Maybe he wrote the song and then used PLF's time machine to deploy the sock setting up the song.

Ironically, PLF has been noticeably absent all day. Go figure.

I remember those. you weren't suppose to wash them if you wanted authenticity. There was the ad with Marcus Garvey saying
"look to mikasa where some new china designs will be fired", right?
sacri-fucking-ligous if you ask me.

This is why I don't give gifts to anyone. But myself. And my progeny. At least the ones I know of. And acknowledge paternity for.
OK, remember you said that. Your computer bag goes right back to Target now.

I am proud to say that I actually recognize the song, and think I saw the video a couple of times years ago on MTV, late on a Sunday night or early on a Monday morning. Obscure.

Concur. Alicia Silverstone made her small-screen debut as PLF; Penske played Less, Thurgreed, and patentgreedy, and also had a cameo as Himself. There's nothing so obscure that it can't be brought to light by the amazing power of Google.

It's not like you can't afford to buy new stuff. You're a lawyer for gosh sake.
It isn't tacky, I just didn't like it. So what do you do with the stuff that's perfectly nice but not really your style and you can't return? And it's not like a *real* present, just a little hostess gift. And she might really like it. Or re-gift it to someone else.

The blasted tip towels are another thing altogether. I might have to sneak one or two into the gift I'm bringing for our book club exchange, just to get rid of them. Maybe I'll give them to Goodwill to sell.

I do one of 3 things.

1. Store it somewhere
2. Give it to charity
3. Throw it out

The only time I regift is if someone happens to see something in my home that they really like and I don't much care about, in which case I might give it to them. But I wouldn't do that at another time. I would just pick it up and say please, take it with my blessings. I do that with stuff in my office a lot. I get tired of it being there, other people admire it, and I give it away. But of course they know it is a regift.

average joe

SPOILERS

With all the chatting about average joe and the "fat cousin" I decided to catch the last 20 or so minutes of the show last night.

First of all that makeup was pretty impressive. But if you looked closely you could see something wasn't quite right. I think they figured the guys wouldn't look that closely at her, and they were right.

Leaving that aside, I thought it was hilarious that that guy she was apparently really into got kicked cause of the things he said about the "cousin." I loved that he was so pissed off. Karma dude, heard of it?

Please. If her friend likes tacky shit, it doesn't matter if it's new or a regift. Don't be so self-righteous. Fugee doesn't want the crap gift. Why should it go to waste? Why should she buy another crap gift? Of course it's okay to pass on.

I'm sure a simple internet search will pull up "Angel ornament 2002." Then they'll either think you bought it at a discount store or are a regifter.

Weight the cost/benefit and decide for yourself.
Does anyone actually do this? Receive a gift and then do some research to determine the price and whether or not it was an original purchase? What the hell are you talking about?

She's giving it to a casual friend as, what sounds like, a small gift as thanks for being invited to the gathering. Fugee knows it's crap. The giftee will know it's crap, but might actually appreciate the gesture. If it's a throwaway gift, what is the big deal?

A gift is a gift. You have no obligation to puchase some tchotchke from a store.

I often give things to people for whom they are better suited. Those handmade soaps from France my mother sent me were the loveliest gift for my aunt and my mother in law who adore such things.

I have a closet full of chinese tea sets, champagne flutes, etc. that my mother continues to buy and send though I have service for 24 for champagne and 8 for chinese tea. All of these lovely things have found wonderful uses in other people's houses.

And, anyone who would check which year an ornament was produced should not be your friend.

Does anyone really doubt her hotness?

Check out this photo. Because of the sleeves on her weird shirt (that match the color of Elin's shirt), doesn't it look like Katilda is massaging the little man inside Elin's boat?

And this last photo is for Not Me:

Check out the article on the wedding on Page 2. Somewhat amusing.

further proof, hasn't his dominance of golf fallen since they've been dating? not so much desire to endless pound balls on the range.

Look at it again. Doesn't Elin's arm look like Katilda's?

The water bottle is for later.
