She used to be so gorgeous and so fresh faced. Now she looks like someone who has been quite literally ridden hard and put away wet. Luckily for most of us, when we went through that stage in life, no one was photographing us.

In unrelated news, I am totally annoyed.

My ex requested a while ago that my boyfriend not sleep in my house when the Braznette is there. Because I like him and I want us all to have a harmonious relationship, I've respected his wishes.

I am taking a family vacation and have asked the boyfriend to come along. He repsonded that he wouldn't come unless the ex was okay with it. I've asked the ex and he's basically ignoring the question.

Meanwhile, tickets get scarcer and more expensive.

(grumble)

She's the Carla Tortelli of pop music.
FWIW, my mom had four kids in five years and three months, no multiples.

Can you get separate (maybe adjoining) rooms?

We're going to the family mountain home. And all the bedrooms are spoken for. Do not suggest he sleep on the couch.

Dish Drying Rack

I am told that if you go to the Museum of Television and Broadcasting in Chicago, you can view tapes of every episode of The Woodwright's Cabin, a series that ran on Public Televisin in the 1980's for approximately 4 episodes. If I remember correctly, in one of the episodes, the Woodwright makes a drying rack by planing and pegging splinters of seasoned pine.

Larry King is the death head. About 15 years ago I was on the 6:30 AM DTW to DCA flight, in 1st Class of course. Something had happened here to cause King to do his show remote from Detroit the night before.

Sitting in my seat I felt the chill of a bony hand clutch at my shoulder. King was steadying himself as he lurched up the aisle to the bathroom. His head looked like a skull mask.

1- I was certain not to enter the bathroom after he left.

2- 15 years ago he looked dead already.

A clear case of ratification. His failure to object in a reasonable time means that he's ok (or at least Not Not OK) with it.

Slight kidding aside, I'd book the trip. He'll be fine, especially if you tell him that you've booked seperate rooms/adjoining rooms/2 bedroom suites/etc.

eta: Aha. Well, that complicates things a bit, but I still think that if he really had a problem with it, he should have said so when you initially asked. I'd say go, and just don't make a big deal over the fact that y'all are sharing a room.

Yeah, I wish. Sadly, current boyfriend will not go unless ex signs off on it.

This is very fucked up.

My grandmother had five pregnancies (six kids) over six and a half years. It makes me tired just to think about it. She lived to 93.

Silence = acceptance, no? Next email should say, "Since you haven't responded to me taking Thurgreed with me on the family vacation to Hawaii, Fiji, The Maldives and anywhere else he wants to go, I will assume you are okay with it if I don't hear back from you this time either."

Well, that does suck. Call him again -- he's not that big of a dick, is he?

As an aside, the boyfriend sounds like a good guy -- he knows that you and the ex have to get along reasonably well at least until the Brazenette is off working on her PhD, and so he doesn't want to be the cause of a problem.
