Wasn't it you crying the crocodile tears the other day about how someone called a rep. a name? Atticus, a little web-fu help please?
|
No need for his Fu.
Atticus linked to when I referred to the campaign - by the left-wing ragsheets that I'm sure you and your NYC societal friends all subscribe to - to get people to refer to the "fecal matter and lubrication that drips out of someone's anus during and after anal sex" as Santorum, as disgusting and representive of the "politics of personal destruction" [so often claimed by the Dems]
Yes, crocodile tears. Right.

Kerry and Sullivan agree on the constitutional amendment, no small matter.

Yeah, Kerry thinks gay marriage should be prohibited through other means.

This was in response to bilmore's assertion:
"I thought the treatment of Chelsea was horrible, but I think Kerry's crap was even worse."
It was not limited to statements made by those you mention.

The Tide is Turning in Iraq
Things like this and the turning in of weapons by Sadr's militia are very encouraging.
Quote:
Sunni Arabs in Iraq are becoming more agitated about being caught in a war pitting an alliance of Saddam supporters and Islamic radicals, against the majority Shia Arab and Kurds who want peace and prosperity, at any price. The Sunni Arabs are increasingly desperate to do something about their situation. Despite the threats from Saddam's old enforcers (almost all of them Sunni Arads), and the al Qaeda influenced Islamic radicals; tribal and religious leaders are suggesting that the Saddam hardliners and foreign Islamic radicals leave. Leave Sunni Areas, leave Iraq, leave this life, it doesn't really matter. The Sunni Arabs see nothing but woe from the Saddam supporters and Islamic radicals. . . . The Sunni Arabs have been cowed by the terror, but not completely immobilized. Deals are being cut, to be finalized when Iraqi troops and police enter Sunni Arab towns under the shadow of American firepower. Will the Sunni Arab leaders remain with the Iraqi majority. Considering the alternative, they probably will.

Kerry said he "married up." This could be looks, personality or $$$. All I said was it couldn't be the first two he meant. But d., there's a difference between ole Hank saying that and Bush saying "Married up? WTF? The only reason you went there is money partner." Did Bush scowl when Kerry claimed to have married up?

No. In fact, he said "Right!" rather effusively (in response to how all three of them had "married up").

Except when he was speaking about Kerry, and saying "Left!" rather effusively.

Was she there or was she not there?** (Do you mean to say that "make an appearance" means "make a speech"?)
Do you deny too that she works on the campaign?
**Here's a hint:
and a link to the article.
|
Let's see:
She chose to hide from view in a private box
She did not and does not give interviews
She chose not go on stage
As a hair-splitter myself, I will admit "appear" was not a good choice of words - since she was physically present.
Would you prefer "participate"?

I'm surprised he didn't say "traded up"
Which is a hell of a lot more accurate, considering he dumped the first one for the richer one, then tried to annul 18 years of history.

Would it have been fair game for Bush to talk about Ms. Kerry I and the divorce in response to Kerry's religion talk?
And, even if it had been "fair game", can you picture Bush doing that?

The accounts I have seen of his first marriage are not as unsympathetic as yours, and this is confirmed by the fact that his brother-in-law from his first marriage is one of his closer advisors.

I don't know how much of her not appearing on stage was a "choice", and I doubt you do either.
"Participate"? Well, the delegates "participate", even though they don't appear on stage. I confess I don't know what word is accurate, since I don't know what you're trying to say. If you're saying that she was present at the convention, and when it came time for the families of the P and VP nominees to gather on stage, she wasn't on the stage, then we agree.
The motivations for her non-appearance on stage at that time cannot be determined, as she doesn't grant interviews (and we can't know the motivations for that decision either.)

This is sorta starting to sound like:
She's fair game - she campaigns!
No, she doesn't.
Well, that's because they won't let her!
