I get the impression that Hank's file will be quite thick when we're finished gathering data.

I've still got $10 on "predeliction for dreadlocks," and it pays 10/1 if it's posted before the holidays. C'mon, Hank, don't let me down.

Is there a rasta holiday in December? Haile Selasie's birthday?

There are tons of good starter knitting pattern books out there that make great gifts. There are also books about the zen of knitting that some people like (I don't, but some do). As for accessories, there is a hand balm called "Knitters little helper" that I use - it stops your hands from drying out while you knit. Knit Picks has it:

A knitting bag is always useful, to tote your yarn and stuff around. Also, there is a magazine called Interweave Knits that I get. It has good suggestions for beginners and more advanced. A subscription might be nice - I think it is Interweave Press - you can google it.
Also, yarn and needles for her next project would be a good gift.

Are you as smooth as the lining of your Hickey-Freemans?
If I were your manicurist, every time I saw you, I would rub lotion into your nails and cuticles with my thumbs while massaging your fingertips with my fingers, using long elliptical strokes. I would do this regularly, so there would never be any need to bring a sharp instrument to your tender skin.

Plus, he's all smooth and shit from the waxing. What would you do to his waxed bits? (I'm just wondering...)

Pity that that and his skull are the only things about him that are thick . . .
