And since the GOP has been trying its damnedest to talk about the Moveon ad instead of, say, Iraq, you might deem the ad a subsidy of Republicans rather than all the Democrats who lined up to vote to condemn it.

We talk about Iraq all the time. But the only news that seems worthy of the MSM is "bad" news.

Unless I'm missing something, Will is willfully (heh) confusing speech about an issue of current interest with speech aimed to benefit a candidate during an election. I know that those categories are somewhat slippery, but here it's just not that hard.

I would not be surprised if Moveon also meant to attack the White House with that ad, but I'm pretty sure that there's a constitutional thingy that prevents Bush from running for a third term.
