As long as Kevin Smith gets to make movies Ben will always have roles.
Spoiler?
Jennifer is also in Jersey Girl as Ben's wife, who dies. there was a wedding scene shot but it was edited out- maybe it'll make the DVD.

A couple weeks ago (I think it was a couple weeks ago), Ben Affleck was the guest host on SNL. Anyway, there was some skit where he was shooting a movie (it may even have been Gigli that he was supposed to be shooting), and there were retarded people as extras (actors playing retarded people). Anyway, one of the "retarded" extras leans over and gives Ben advice that Gigli probably really isn't a good career move.
It was pretty good -- at least the guy can laugh at himself. But I never really liked him.
Did Gwynneth Paltrow marry the father of her baby? I thought I read that somewhere, but I very possibly could have been hallucinating (while kayaking, natch).
In other Hollywood news, the Cru(is)(z)es have broken up! What a shocker. I read somewhere else (in my hallucinatory state) that their relationship was a contractal arrangement, similar to the Kidman/Cruise contractual arrangement. Surely that's all true.

Dead Board Poll

We do let people create their own threads on the regional boards, because those are more information-sharing forums, rather than community building (sustaining?) forums like this one.
And personally, I think it's pretty easy to catch up. Just like on the old boards, I just go pack a page or two and start reading. Yeah, I don't hit everything, but I get enough of a taste to know what was discussed the previous day.
|
Are we having the "should we use a threaded forum" debate again? Blech. The forces of evil were defeated on this one. They should stay in their stinking lairs, licking their wounds.
I've been away for a week or so, and catching up is easy. I just think about what people said a year ago, and figure that the last few days were basically the same. Only less amusing, since I wasn't here.

Does he have much choice? I suppose he could defend the artistic integrity of the film, but not with that "Turkey time" line.

There is still decent firm-specific info on some of the local boards.

How come air travel costs so much

Try September. The weather is still great and the demand is lower. I bought a ticket to Munich for $580, which includes taxes/fees/etc. (which can cost $120+)

Time to Make My Move
I'm in. Tom and Penelope split up. Is it me, or is the idea of dating a girl after Tom Cruise the least intimidating thing you can think of? What a douche that guy is.

The idea of dating a girl after Tom Cruise dates her and after you date her intimidates me less than the idea of simply dating a girl after Tom Cruise

Apropos of the mojito (hey! that rhymes!), I had several while out of town earlier this week. They may be Not Hip, but they certainly are tasty. Especially when served by Maria, who plied me with them while spinning tales of love and betrayal in Little Havana while samba music played, the soft breezes carried the scent of rum and revolution, and the surf gently washed at our feet.
Take a letter, Maria, indeed.

Why wouldn't they have just made the frame bigger for her? She is going to get scoliosis if she keeps trying to fit in that box.

This post wasn't sarcastic at all. I don't even know who you are anymore.
But enjoy my sloppy seconds.

Yeah, but dating a gay man, for three years, doesn't raise any.
