I don't know, it looks like you managed to irritate him just fine.

I however do not see a sweater. I see that the hot woman has two arms that have on them short sleeves. Nothing is draped on anything, except, maybe mom is draped a bit on daughter.

It's unfair. I have to really work at it, and all she has to do is say "sweater".

You have to work to irritate me though, so it's all good. Not very hard mind you, but it is still work.

And it's important, when you sit back to drink your microbrew or your German specialty beer (none of which suffer the debasement of "advertising," of course) not just to enjoy the taste, but to enjoy the vague sense of superiority that it bestows.

Of course. I assumed the FB would imply this.
I smell a new board motto.

Although I if I had a sense of superiority, I would want it to be distinct. I will have to work on this with a therapist, or perhaps bilmore could tutor me.

I can't help you. I don't just have a "sense" of superiority.

(Now I'm thinking of Martin Mull, talking about "not the actual esteem, just a token of it.")

Don't sell yourself short. You're tremendously irritating, if that makes you feel any better.

For the record, it ain't working. I will not drink Miller Lite. Don't eve ask me to.
If the domino ad doesn't convince you to drink Miller products, then I'm sure that the 1950s-era-beer-belly-manly-man-with-gravelly-voiceover ads don't do it either.

It still baffles me why Miller thinks that approach will appeal to people outside of the wife-beater T-shirt demographic.

I don't think this means what you think it means.

(On the bright side, I read somewhere that it is a common phenomenon that right before you truly understand what a word means, you think it means exactly the opposite.)

So, there you go (redux).

And I likewise admire your supercillious disdain for all such things. It reassures me that there will always be a market for ferns and mojitos.

So Coltrane should be getting that distinction between imply and infer anytime now.

better beer ads

Ok - these are not as good as the Labatts ads (that aired in Canada, not here) from years past, but still the one where they leave the guy in the elevator makes me laugh.

http://www.labattblue.ca/lb_ctf/lb_ctf_index.htm

these are better than the ones I see here (leaving aside real men of genius, which I like - esp mr. multicolored sweater man)
