Poll -- does your spouse/SO/ISO know about the FB?

You are my SP.

My husband knows all about the "lawyer board" but I don't know if I ever mentioned the FB by name. He's pretty supportive of it, even going along with my hosting a couple of brunches at the house and going out with GA groups now and then.

So, what you're saying is that if the catholic church made women priests, she'd fit right in with the buggerers?

She understood it was teasing, and didn't take it as a slight against her. She was just taken aback that our sex life would be a topic of jest among strangers in the first place, and might have been slightly suspicious that I had interjected our sex life into board discussions. I explained the larger context that the joke had been made precisely because it was a sudden departure from the typical AG character, such as it is. But it wasn't a problem beyond momentary awkwardness.

We're pretty old fashioned, and don't hang out with people who regularly josh each other about sex quality or quantity except in the impersonal or abstract. We don't run with a "Whassamatter, the little lady not performing her wifely duties? Har-har-har" crowd.

On the other hand, we regularly talk about genital self-discovery with our priest. Go figure.
So she is uncomfortable that a random stranger might ask on a message board if you are getting any, but she's totally cool about you posting about the talks y'all have with your priest about non-penile "genital self-discovery"?

Please, oh please, let today be one of the days that she drops by.

OF course, I am pregnant with my first daughter who I plan to name Princess Paigow Princess I. But thats just me.

edited to indicate that Princess Paigow PRincess is "the First"

A clip for the MJ home movie shows PMJ the First saying "My name is Prince Michael Jackson and I love my Daddy."

This is like the "classy, intelligent, successful" thing that PP, DS, and all were discussing earlier today. Why in the world would you have to train your little kid to say that he loves you? It's not like he's a teenager -- he's still at the age where he should have demonstrable natural affection for his Dad.

What's next? "My name is Prince Michael Jackson and my Dad does not engage in genital self-discovery with me."

The whole thing with his kids just makes me ill. I saw pieces of the Martin docudrama and caught him parading his kids around in public with masks like everyday is Halloween or they are going on Mr. Personality. Does that alone not constitute child abuse? I can only imagine the repercussions on those kids' mental and emotional lives from a childhood of not allowing to show your fae in public. They'll probably end up having ten nosejobs, tattooing on eyeliner, getting cheekimplants and bleacking their skin. Sick. I have no idea why they havent been tekan away from him.

I mean, naming your kid "Prince" bc you are the King of Pop (or are in your mind) does not make you royalty. That alone should be proof that MJ is too delusional to be a proper parent., Are peole that delusional allowed to keep custody of theirkids in the real world?

My SO knows and cannot fathom how I have so much time to waste, er, spend on the Board. He also does not understand why I thrash about in my sleep, alternately grinding my teeth and calling out "settle down Francis!"

P.S. I don't think he'd approve of my sending a pic of my pups for breasticle day redux, but like Anne says, a girl's gotta have some secrets.
The beneficial info is typically in the form of some random website link posting that was made here (eg. OddTodd, Emode quizzes, freaky stories about men having sex with goats, etc.). I think I mentioned the TM blowjob post to him as well. He likes the idea of me continuing my education on those sorts of fronts...

Poll -- does your spouse/SO/ISO know about the FB?

The str8 fiancee knows that I follow a lawyer message board that focuses on fashion and reality TV. She knows because some bits here are so good that I can't help but share them with her. Similarly I steal many of her observations here and pass them off as my own. I think she'd like this board, but she's got a bit of a "too cool for school" feeling about internet groups (the only ones she reads are the wedding ones, in the name of "research"). I don't think she'd be comfortable with the degree to which I lust after c2ed, RT, and GWNC.

By the way, I'm about ready to cut bait and run on the house. Thanks all for your good advice. On the other hand, if they chop $200K off the price . . .

naked Dixie Chicks

If you're a Dixie Chicks fan but you don't usually pick up Entertainment Weekly, this might be the week to check it out.

They've probably had work done already (which could explain the masks).

The name thing doesn't bother me too much. George Foreman didn't spend toom uch time pondering what to name his brood. Then again, he took a lot of blows to the head over the years so at least he has an excuse.

Speaking of the "does your SO know about the FB" Poll...

Mr. PJ just suggested I pass along a bit of a movie review from CNN re: the new Ed Burns/Dustin Hoffman flick "Confidential':

apparently Ed Burns "has the sex appeal of Al Gore."

I'm so proud. If I can get him to watch "Sorority Life" this week, I believe I'll have successfully brainwashed him.

Secretary

So upon advice of one of you (who was it) we saw Secretary. I don't recall ever seeing someone so thrilled about being told to eat mashed potatoes and four peas.

And it certainly gives "I didn't hurt you did I" a whole new meaning.

What a great movie (in a wonderfully perverse way)

Each chick appears thinner in that picture than I remembered. Did they Winslet them down?
