How about Dr. Vegeberger? Or a lobbyist I met once named Dick Seaman?

It's names like these that make me feel better about mine.

I'm really ticked Dylan disowned that tune. Now its just another Dazed and Confused footnote.

Awkward Encounter Not Awkward At All When Masturbated About

OLYMPIA, WA—An uncomfortable exchange between Brad Leydner, 25, and Ginny, the cute redheaded waitress at Hugo's Bistro, lost all awkwardness when envisioned in Leydner's masturbation fantasy later that afternoon. "So, would you like to grab a coffee after your shift?" a nervous Leydner asked Ginny in both the real and imagined scenarios Monday. "Oh, Brad, I can't wait four hours to see you. You should fuck me hard, right in this booth," replied the Dream Ginny moments before Leydner achieved orgasm. In the fantasy scenario, Ginny did not hide in the kitchen to avoid speaking to Leydner while he paid for his meal.

I just don't see why he has to quote my post, which was neither for nor against quant, to go off on . . . not even anything as entertaining as a rant . . . perhaps a monologe? anyway, to go off on his monologue which is supposedly about how quant theory is bad but really doesn't show that at all. Quant theory can give a weight to the pleasure inherent in human interaction . . .

I don't know what is up with me and the ellipses . . .

ESPN columnist's list of the 10 Greatest Canadians

I wish I knew why, but I really like pointless lists. Somewhere out there are lists of the 10 Greatest Contributions of Gansta Rap to Society or the 10 Greatest Types of Toilet Bowl Cleaner.

There really needs to be a website that collects such things.

Not Richard Schmoker

Irish Health Minister tries to put a positive spin on smoking ban:

Quote:
“The major social phenomenon that has arisen from this, I’m told, is a new type of dating,” he added. Men have been striking up conversations with women while they smoke legally outside bars and clubs. “Outdoors is apparently the place to touch base, to make contact,” he said, quoting newspaper reports. He joked that the worry now was that people would start smoking to help dating.

ETA: Men striking up conversation with women? What will happen next? Maybe men buying drinks for women? Who wrote this article, Prissy Princess?

The Bachelor gives way to The Two-Timer

So much Bachelor drama to report on; if only ABC could make what happens after the show the show. Bob Guiney will show up on The View today with Rebecca Budig, who's on All My Children and who hosted an ABC Family special about the ABC reality show. They've been dating for a while, and were engaged just days ago, the night before they showed up together at the Daytime Emmys, Extra reports. The Bachelor 3 dumpee Jen Schefft isn't dumping the ring she got from Andrew, even though the two are long broken up. Tonight on the After the Final Rose special, she'll say, "Obviously, it's a beautiful ring and Andrew said that he bought that for me and that it was mine to keep, so I'm gonna keep it." Finally, if you're going to go into Bachelor withdrawal after tonight's show, ABC and creator Mike Fleiss have something to hold you over: another ABC dating series, this time called The Two Timer. Instead of one guy making out with multiple women who all know they're competing for his affection, this new series will feature one guy making out with and/or dating perhaps multiple women every day, some of whom are oblivious. The star of the show, Chris, calls himself "The Chrisser," according to ABC, and "sees himself as the ultimate player."
The Chrisser sounds like quite a catch. I will get my Tivo ready for this.

Sounds like it describes him and his favorite activity perfectly to me...

Notscars

I think the Oscars should have a counterpart for worst performances. I'm going to call them the Notscars.

Last night I was flipping through the channels and watched part of Commando (one of the Schwarzenegger crapathons) and I'd like to nominate Vernon Wells for worst bad guy ever.

Whose idea was it to cast an overweight Freddy Mercury in this role, anyway? Forget Ahnold. How long would he last in a fight with Richard Simmons?

So, who are your nominations for worst performance in the role of a villain?

(And please feel free to add your own category to the Notscars.)
