Ignoring the stupidity and bad grammar rampant in this post, does anyone think that "being a member of the bar" is something that requires us to somehow show kind of special compassion and dignity in our ordinary life? I can see that if you're in court you should act like a grownup, but outside of when I'm actually at work and working on work stuff, the fact that I'm a member of the bar doesn't impact my behavior. In fact, if I stopped practicing law (hi ltl/fb!!) I don't think that I would be able to display any less dignity in my personal life than I do now.
Q: if Junior Gotti came up to you in public or private...really anywhere except for a workplace locale.....let's say the men's steam room at your YMCA for sake of argument, and sang happy birthday to you, how would you react?

In my observation, this is totally correct. Men generally check out ANYTHING THAT MOVES*. It means absolutely nothing.

You seemed awfully tolerant lately. I was growing concerned.

if you had actually been a lawyer you would realize the way one best attacks an argument is brick by brick, not trying to take the wall down all at once.

I stood my ground and continue to do so. You and your little circle o friends is not why I am here. I have my set group of friends and you do too. so really, you GO with your bad self if you want to slander someone's rep unfairly on the board and then cackle with glee after. You are an embarassment, sir, to be a member of the bar.
Babydoll, we are silent because we haven't seen you and so have no basis to contradict his purely subjective opinion. And as I said yesterday, 12 (though I thought it was 14) is pretty chubby for someone under 5'5", particularly by the standards of people who think runway stickpeople-I-mean-models are attractive, but it's not obese. Either way, some men/women like curves and Rubenesqueness.

Hell, I don't ever go to court, and I don't join any bar associations that aren't absolutely required for keeping my license(s). I take it as a point of pride when people say "but you don't look like a lawyer."

As I said the other day: Has a vagina + doesn't drool = worth a look.

If I'm drunk, a smallish amount of drool is okay.

NO offence, but Jack Manfred has been here longer than Slave....he was one step removed from OBE, even if he didn't realise it.

It's this ethic that led me down the path to waking up next to Hank's mom.

Slavery as in the parent(s) is/are the slave(s) or the kid is? And "traditional" you meaning SAHMs?

Yes, I think traditional sah-motherhood is slavery, as in being in a state of subjugation or captivity involving burdensome and degrading labor. This is why I did not have children with my former husband.
