To hell with anonymous.
That picture is much much improved over the last one, though it may just be color and the absence of [geeky clothing in last picture]. Your wife is still much hotter than you and I'm not sure you lived up to the potential shown in the Baby Muggs picture I saw.
Interestingly, that picture makes it look like you have the Fugee Family nose (which I inherited from the Fugee Dad). If I didn't know better, I'd have to look for Muggses swinging from the family tree.
As for rating you. Glass houses. Stones.

I'm less lazy. That southern school, UT, is most profitable. But I'm not sure where this all goes. I'm actually surprised they make a profit, because I figured they would hide the profits in the form of "expenses", such as cash-stuffed envelopes and luxurious practice facilities. Presumably since the figures are reported to the government, though, they have to be honest.

Division I football lose money? Ha, that's a good one. At You Dubyah-Madison, the football program basically funds the entire athletic department and then some.

The real reason that secretary outside your office bugs you--a problem without the usual solution.

You rated me unasked on maintenance, then rated gwnc on maintenance by request. you gave her a pass but did not give me one. so I assume I don't pass on maintenance.

did you miss the part about her coming from giving head? That's pretty much the definition of low maintenance -- you can gladly end any argument with "if I make you come, will you forgive me?"

Here's what a little research found (and I don't feel like doing more):
- •Football is the I-A moneymaker. Nearly two-thirds of all I-A football programs showed a profit in 2001, and the sport — by far — produced the most revenue (a median of $1.7 million).
•Growing gap between haves and have-nots. Schools already investing the most in football, ranking in the top 10% in expenses, stepped up their spending the most (by 46% from 1993 to 2001). The bottom quarter of I-A, based on spending, increased expenditures by a more modest 23%. The trend was similar in basketball. There's also a huge disparity in football profits, with programs in the top 10% averaging $13.3 million in net revenue in 2000-01 and the bottom quarter losing an average of $1 million.
•Few programs are self-sufficient. Two of every five I-A athletics programs said they operated in the black in 2001. But take away state and school subsidies, and only 6% were profitable.

You also get a pass because you eat like a normal person, and have a very interesting and complicated noir life.

eye twitch
does anyone else get that annoying thing where a teeny tiny muscle under your eye twitches involuntarily and it's really, really fucking annoying, especially when it goes on for days? Is there anything I can do about this other than, like, botox?
I'm assuming it's stress-related.

Yes. Definitely stress-related.
When I get it, I like to do the Diane Chambers speech from when she was in that Best Bahmaid in Boston contest. It relaxes me.
In theory, I suppose I could also give head to get rid of that twitch, but it happens more often in the office than it does at home, and there's nobody hot enough to blow here.

Isn't that true of any academic department as well?
It's a fair argument that the people of states like Alabama, Arkansas, Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and many others get more enjoyment from their state school's football team than from a handful of graduates in classics and english literature.
