This is quite true. If you don't want colored nails, you can do a french on the feet, but personally I think this looks trashier in a way than color. I will acknowledge that this is a personal thing and not actually true.

It might be a good idea to if you are going to work in Texas.
Why were you wearing open-toed shoes? Trying to snag a guy by being inappropriately slutty in the office? If so, you should know that most guys aren't attracted to unkempt feet.

*mid-60's.

I'm wearing tights and (I'm sure I don't have to say) closed toed shoes today for similar reasons*. I can't remember the last time I wore hosery. I'm remembering why I try to avoid it as much as possible.
I wear open toed / sandal-y shoes pretty much all the time, and I chaired the shoe committee that officially sanctioned same in the office. Of course, I wore the shoes long before dress codes allowed me to.
*also mid-60s. Of course my office is in the mid-90s. Our HVAC people tend to overreact.

I mostly follow it, but it was like 100 degrees out or something and I didn have time to pedi up.
But you miss the point. THe point is that I don't want some good ole boy (or any boy except maybe a gay) to be discussing my toes with me at the office. But I like my coworkers to be as covered up as possible. No hairy arms (or shaved arms), no stray gray chest hairs poking out of the top of your golf shirt. Nothing. There is a reason the AC is overcranked at most offices.

I sometimes wear flipflops on toes in need of grooming for the walk to the pedicure place. I have been known to stop for lunch on the way. I will probably appear in a Glamour don't.

So why were you wearing open-toed shoes to the office, then?

You invented unkempt. Do I need to show you your flicka pic again>?
And the DC gal dressed sluttier in more ways that just open toe shoes. Cleavage, tight clothes, cleavage, etc. Like she was going to the mall, you know?
And I agree, french manicures look trashy on toes. I sometimes think they look trashy on fingernails. The only people who can pull it off are those with short nails that arent too short for the look. Otherwise it looks like a porn star.

Why is the time like 9-11 minutes off on this thing? Christ.
PS my admin is requesting full-spectrum lights for my office.
