Mmmm, actually, roast beef would be good right now. I should drive somewhere and buy some.

Not that I'd ever go down on a hooker.

SPOILER!!!!
Tony sits every second wondering if the next guy through the door is the bullet, he has lost Melfi, and everyone he trusts is gone. It's the least happy happy ending. Plus Agent Harris has a hot girlfriend- AND picked sides. C'mon now.

The whole show was a complete waste of time. The kill was bullshit. The ending was pure crap.

Tony's immediate family is doomed also. Janice has turned completely into her mother, and will spend the next several decades fucking up the lives of Bobby's kids. Carmela has had her chances to leave, and chose instead her delusions of spec houses and remodeled kitchens. The kids are fucked, because they're not going to escape the attractions of material possessions and easy living - Meadow in particular is drifting towards a fate far worse than death.

I agree. For all of Tony Jr's angst and depression, he was bought off with an important sounding job and an M3? Meadow, although supposedly very bright, chooses career paths based on whatever her current boyfriend is doing. Carmela is the biggest joke. She can't help her kids, Tony or herself, so she pretends she doesn't know what happened to Chrissy's ex and tries to distract herself with the hobby she's not even good at.
I thought the guy at the end was a suicide bomber. The whole subplot with Tony holding out on giving information on the muslim suspects until it served his own purposes was supposed to bite him in the ass, right? Even though Tony Jr. was all over the place, he was actually willing to risk something and wanted to do something by signing up for the army. Tony bribes him out of it. The guy comes in with a puffy coat, sits down, orders nothing, heads to the bathroom to prepare. There's even another guy with a "USA" hat on, oblvious to everything. Everyone in the place seems to be happy, consuming away.
Tony is a man of violence. A criminal who used Melfi to perfect his life's con. But he gets taken out, not by the life of violence he leads and so carefully protects, but by a suicide bomber? A problem he's oblivious to, but helped create in a way?
Whatever. The whole thing was garbage and the fade to black was just a way to set up a movie if his next project tanks. And the actress that plays Melfi is one of the worst actors since Billy on Melrose.

Nice point. At this point, Carmela is as repellent as Tony himself. And "the state can crush the individual?" Can the social crusader crap and learn how to parallel park. A manual. In heels. On the left side of the street.

C'mon it was Chases big F-U to the viewers who were speculating endlessly on a million ways to end the thing. It was an artistic ending, more like a movie than tv and unsatisfying but that is how Chase loved to roll. It showed his disdain for the medium of television. He hated things wrapped up in a bow. Tony in the clink miserable, or gunned down at a hotdog stand. I knew it was to set the pick and roll for a movie but why not? He should profit it was a great run.
And Philly's hit "wave bye bye to Grandpa" and Butchie selling him out were classic.
regardless it was/is better tv than a lot of the dribble on currently.

I believe it was Bilmore who warned us all, years ago, that this is true of all television. Wake up before you waste more of your youth in front of the idiot boX!!!

Whatever.
Did you see Renteria's slide and elbow on his attempted steal in the same game he got plunked by Lilly? Now that's a dirty play.
Cavs are cooked.
And was Cotta a little scared in the first three rounds of that fight or does he always soften up his opponents by purposefully hitting them square in the nuts?

Sadly, I have to agree. They might take one here at home, but that's about it. King James throwing up an airball on a foul shot??? Z has only 9 points against a pretend center? Larry Hughes has [as Dean Wormer would say] zero point zero.
It does not look very pretty.

I was surprised that he got away with it.
How about the elbow thrown by Blanco in the Mexico-Honduras match. Perhaps the defender oversold his reaction, but what a stupid thing to do. My mother-in-law is having her place painted by some Honduran painters who went to NJ for the game. I'm thinking maybe they'll be hung over this morning.

No offense, but the Thurgreed I have come to know and respect, the old Thurgreed, would take a step back and reconsider if he saw himself taking the same position as Sebastian.

I didn't watch either game, but the NBA is a home court place in the playoffs. all you need to do is hold home court and make sure Side show bob knows to fall whenever Parker or Duncan come within an foot of him in Game 5. (call me bitter)
Nod to Cleveland: he's 22. you have a whole lot of next years to enjoy.

He'd rather be a "global icon" than win.
