What does "quil" mean?
I think I will purchase some Nyquil to take tonight. No, I do not have a cold. I just love the way it knocks me out and then I wake up and it is morning. That never happens without Nyquil.

Worst Name Change Ever
The baseball team formerly known as the Anaheim Angels is now the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Pending litigation with the Anaheim City Council and the owner's coming to his senses, that is. What are they thinking?

Great. And next the San Francisco Athletics of Oakland.
What the hell? 2 cities in 1 name?

I am one of those people for whom Nyquil is a stimulant. I have a friend with this same defect. We would occasionally joke about taking it 2 hours before a planned night out. It knocks me out at first, but when I wake up 1-3 hours later, I am WIRED. And jittery.

The trivia that I remember reading about this is that in the contract with city, Anaheim had a requirement not that the team be named "the Anaheim Angels" but instead that the word "Anaheim" appear somewhere in the team's name. No news about any mandated font sizes*.
The lure of the dollars from - and cachet regarding - the Los Angeles market has inspired the owner to impressive levels of stupidity. He'll probably come around one they start burning him in effigy in the OC.
*"The Los Angeles Angels*"
*of Anaheim

For those taking notes, ncs and I have the same reaction to Nyquil, but very different reactions to receiving oral sex.

One might think the spanish-speaking owner would have caught the very strange redundancy of "The The Angels Angels"
And wouldn't it be the Philadelphia Athletics of Oakland?

To fit in with their soon-to-be-defunt NHL neighbors, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, I suppose.
I am pretty sure that they were originally the "Los Angeles Angels" when they first came into the AL as an expansion franchise. The change to the "California Angels" was a good one -- they should have stayed with that. I think that Eisner pushed the change to "Anaheim Angels" when the Mouse bought the team. He blames Michael Ovitz.

Flinty, in fears of possible inadvertent lapses in RT's and ltl's database, has been building his own manual one, constructed entirely of Crayola Red #5 and the backside of paper Bennigan's placemats. I'm sure that your item has been faithfully documented.

Yes, indeed they have. With helpful how-to diagrams.

This happens to me if I take it and I'm not actually both sick AND genuinely tired.
RT, do you think you have a sinus infection? I say this because I do, and my eyeballs kind of hurt. Or feel like someone is squeezing them. My new dr did not really seem like she was believing my sinus infection (no fever, no excessive pain) but then she looked in my ears and said Oh My God. Yeah, lady, next time you won't be all skeptical that all I have is the stuffiness that accompanies a cold, will you?
