Screw that. I've still got three more months of snowboarding.

Worst Fit: Scarlett Johansen. The corset cups were sized for someone with no rack, and she has a fairly major one.

Worst Wrap: Johnny's Depp's girlfriend (Sophie something?) black tulle layered pouf. Mr. PJ, who never notices dress clothes, happened to glance up from the computer and asked: "Is that woman wearing a dead dog around her neck?" Concur.

Worst Guy: the hobbit from LOTR who wore a shiny black pleather-looking patterned jacket (I've given up on Johnny Depp's 30s Mafia Pimp thing). I thought "Oh, God, you're from England. You don't realize, don't talk to Joan Rivers with that on!"

Best woman: Charlize Theron.

Biggest Disappointment: Nicole Kidman. The very yellow-gold hairband did not match the silver-grey sequins of her entire dress, and the greyish mesh insets on very pale skin are a recipe for corpsehood.

Worst woman besides Melissa Rivers: Sarah Jessica Parker. You do not, not pair royal blue satin shoes with a cocoa tulle dress, even if there is blue in the lace beading overlay. And her constant 50s prom dress thing, though normally nice enough, is getting tired.
I just have to chime in on this one: who stole Sarah Ferguson and put a drag queen (a really bad one, at that) in her place?!? Damn, she looked awful.

EOM.

Movie recommendation

I watched a very good movie this weekend: Il Postino

Not to be overly simplistic here, but if you liked Cinema Paradiso, you would probably like this.

After watching Saturday night's typhoon blow over downtown while Dallas mixed Pina Coladas, I awoke Sunday morning to some truly spectacular weather. Skies were bluer than SJP's shoes, the temperature approached 80, and noninflatable lovelies sunned themselves by the pool for the first time this year.

I took a bike ride through scenic Memorial Park, where I witnessed more of Spring's blossoming beauties. After winding around the bayou to look for gators and dead bodies, I capped my ride off with a cherry ice smoothie. Even after sunset, it was too nice to eat inside, so I threw some steaks on the grill and ate poolside.

A number of coworkers are sunburned, many just from enjoying brunch on the patio. But the standard in this regard has been set by our resident reality tv hater who spent the day kayaking in the bay. I've never seen a sunburned Greek before.

Despair not, friends in the North. Spring is here!
My only complaint about yesterday was that the Displaced Dogs got kicked off the Empire Cafe patio because someone ratted out a few other dogs to the health department a few weeks ago, and they've since instituted a no-dog policy. But no fear, we just moved down the street a bit to a more friendly patio and had a wonderful day basking in the sun.

I love Spring.

Wow, I hadn't realized it was so cold everywhere else. Must be something about cold weather that prompts people to PM "fuck you" to others.

We've already decided not to invite you to the first annual Lawtalkers gathering in an exotic tropical locale, which I obviously cannot name here. So there!

It's not like our NIN songs made it onto the list or anything.
Well, then it's highly unlikely you'll be doing ncs any time soon.

Niagara Falls (all three falls) are frozen.
http://www3.weatherview.com/cams/con...ia001&aff=cams

Okay, not really "frozen" frozen because the Falls cannot completely freeze but...just look at the pictures and you'll get the drift.

This means it is "tits-ass cold" in the "old country." And I do not know why we said that but I do know that it meant "really fucking cold."
