Agreed, and not Kobe. It's not like he was posting details on the court's website.

Maybe she could get Kobe to play Russian Roulette with her.

Don't you mean the bishop? I thought the heckler-hag just had an ugly, gravelly voice (Bow to her! Bow to the Queen of Slime, the Queen of FILTH, the Queen of PUTRESCENCE!). Or do I miscalculate? (I love that line from "The Hours" -- N.Kidman is spot on and I love to say it -- I only wish I could get away with saying it with the accent -- that would rock.)

Hey, say what you will, but if public radio giant KCRW and their music svengali Nic Harcourt is playing it, well that's a 900 pound gorilla in my corner on this one.

No, but didn't Kobe's (female) lawyer repeat the victim's name in open court during the prelim despite repeated admonitions from the judge to stop because it was a gratuitous invasion of her privacy? I seem to recall an SNL/Weekend Update story to that effect.

Good point. But she does mention true love.

I guess it could be either the bishop or Mrs. Miracle Max too.

Oh Str8, if you were having this conversation with anyone but Flower you would have made a point, but where the rational see "giant" and "svengali" as lending credence, Flower see only "Corporate tripe."

You would have done better if you said the DJ 2AM-5AM at the college freeform station (you know, the guy who said he plays shit randomely from a pile of CDs) he played the song once and then played it again. Flower would have been impressed then.

Remember this is a guy who loves listening to screeching Japanese art punk while telling opposing counsel they have to "take it or leave it" when it comes to terms in the supplier agreements he negotiates for 3M. Of course he's scared of having corporate control over the one last area of "free choice" in his life.

Although I find your apology for the song unconvincing, I actually did not mind the tune. I just found it to be a bit twee. But I like twee in the right circumstances.

Although you've caused me to misdirect some posts at Paigow, which surely was your intention.

I am not quite so strident. Although I found the apology "unconvincing" for the reasons you articulated, it's not all Melt Banana and the Boredoms for me. I'm right now listening to to a Fela Kuti mixed CD, which is rather mellow and corporate-friendly, provided you do not listen to the words or know who Fela was.
