Oh. Can she at least stop shopping for them at "Wet Seal" during prom season?
There are some drop-dead sexy gloves to be had, particularly vintage. Though the preworn aspect might compound her germ phobia...

Whether they are any good in a role or not, good luck if they are nominated in your category...

The BS about this is that Pacino already won his Lifetime Achievement Award when he won best actor for Scent of a Woman. Physical disabilties are a fucking acting crutch.

Come on. There is a mighty fine line separating "Bad-Ass DeNiro" and "Funny DeNiro"
[but someone please tell me what it is]

I agree. And she looks better when her hair is strawberry blonde or red. Pale blonde washes her out and makes her less striking.

Just saw it again this weekend. Good times, and the theatre was about 3/4 full.
I'm developing a crush on Scarlett...

Yep. And not trying to be asshole or anything, but so are roles in productions about AIDS or the Holocaust, among other social or historical catastrophes... Do a fair job in such productions and some award is virtually a guarantee.
Mrs. Hand used to be in the theater business and she would see 50+ different stage productions a year (I'd see many of them as well). She can be brutally honest about shows, and said both the stage and TV productions of Angels were overrated by comparison to other shows she'd seen, likely due to their subject matter. And this coming from a woman who's attended far more memorials to friends/colleagues lost to AIDS than anyone should ever have to bear.

Meryl Streep is a much better actress than her script selection would tend to indicate. Everyone fawns over her, but sometimes you just have to wonder. "Death Becomes Her"? "She-Devil"? "Defending Your Life"?
Yet she's the only person with range enough that you could actually imagine her filming the remake of "The Manchurian Candidate" at the same time as the Lemony Snicket movie. But you're just left to wonder which one of them is doomed. Sad to say, it's looking like Lemony Snicket will lose the lottery. There's a flick that should have been either (a.) animated; or (b.) a Tim Burton joynt.
BTW, Rowan Atkinson's agent is denying rumors he's been cast at Lord Voldemort ( ?!?!?) in the fourth Harry Potter movie. Talk about a role hand-made for Christopher Lee.

Which is why Murray and Johannsen deserve credit for what they did. They had no plot to drive them. No disabilities. No huge social issues. Just one-on-one interpersonal issues - MUCH more difficult to portray*. And while the dialogue was very important to that portrayal, the moments in between the dialogue were even more important.
*Although some have said that Murray's personality mirrors his character's.

(1) Mel is good. Sometimes a little mentally disturbed. But good. See Braveheart, Lethal Weapons, The Patriot, Ransom, etc.
(2) Something bad happens to Mel, i.e., his wife/girlfriend gets killed or son gets kidnapped, etc. It's usually family related.
(3) Mel goes completely insane. Or he goes MORE insane (insaner).
(4) Mel kills everyone who has wronged him. And them some.
(5) All is good in Melville. Except for Braveheart, where his body parts were placed on spikes. Minor disembowelment. Fortunately, Scotland is free.

Absolutely 1000% correct.
Gibson has been mailing in the same shlock for years now. He's got the crazy-but-utterly moral gig down so well that even when he plays a villian (Payback), he comes off as a great guy.
If you like Mel playing a great guy, best to stock up on his dvds, because that Anti-Semitic Jesus Freak epic of his is probably going to burn his career to the ground.

I can't imagine she's ever wear used gloves. I seem to recall her saying something about plastic utensils, which made me think of Jack Nicholson with Helen Hunt (movie name escapes me) and I thought how funny, she's OCD in real life and he just played one in the movies.

She looks like she walked out of an Irish Spring commercial. She's a good actress, but there isn't a stitch of sexiness about her.

I don't think she's been offered much else in the last 20 years since she was replaced by more up-and-coming eye candy. And she's been considered too pretty for the Kathy Bates 'disgruntled housewife going over the edge' roles.
If they keep up the spate of "Oh My God! Women 20 Years Younger Than Jack Nicholson Still Have Sex!" movies, she might have hope.

I don't think its a hygiene thing. I spoke with someone who saw that Nicholson flick recently and said she's got a bush that puts World B. Free's afro to shame.

People are afraid to say they don't like "important issue" movies. I didn't like Schindler's List. I think Spielberg corned it up a bit. But who's going to say that out loud? You'll get a face full of shit from people who can't separate the movie from its subject matter.

Dude, I think you've got the wrong guy. Even in his prime, World had, at best, only a marginal balding afro:
