Probably way too late to chime in on this debate, but I offer you the following, from a recent edition of the Howard Stern show:
Howard: Snoop, how much money do you let your hos keep?
Snoop: 0%.

In the most important news I have to offer (except that Morrissey tickets go on sale this morning), the original Beavis and Butthead episodes are apparently back on MTV, with the music videos. I know because I saw a "Cornholio" this morning. Huzzah. Set your Tivos.
Also, the "Comic Relief Day" episode of the Office is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

1. What time were they showing it? (Note: I can do the time-zone translation thingy, so let's just say your time.)
Thanks.
2. I'm not particularly interested in your personal life, I just need to know when you saw the program.
Thanks again.

This is why I didn't use the formula "you all = timmies". I left myself a little wiggle room with those who are familiar with rhetoric and tropes, namely hyperbole. I know damn well you're not a timmy, you're just a code monkey, and I appreciate your review.

Not Bob's recap -- last week makes another episode of The FB Odd Couple
So, it was quite a week, eh? (said in Canadian, what with hockey playoffs coming and all -- go Leafs!) I missed much of it due to a leetle vacation to a sunny locale that Mrs. Not Bob and I enjoyed. (Note to concerned readers -- despite my earler post, there was no "Maria." That was just artistic license. There were, however, mojitos. But I digress.)
Anyway, all of the joy that was shared by you all made a lovely episode of everyone's favorite sitcom, "The FB Odd Couple." To remind you of the premise, it is based upon hip urbanite Thurgreed Marshall inheriting a mansion in flyover land. One of the conditions of his inheritance is that he must live there for a year in order to keep it and the $100 million trust fund. Unfortunately (for him -- fortunately for us), the house is already occupied by colorful Miss Middle America, Fugee. Fugee has some sort of an unbreakable lease or something that allows her to stay. By the way, picture TM as Sheriff Bart from "Blazing Saddles" or Detective Harris from "Barney Miller." For Fugee, who else but Mary Tyler Moore as Mary Richards?
Scene: The Fugee/TM living room. Fugee is reading "Wuthering Heights" and TM is watching E True Hollywood.
F: I just wish I could meet someone like Heathcliff.
T: Bill Cosby?
F: No, not Dr. Huxtable ... oh, nevermind.
T: You crack me up -- you need to get out of that Little House in the Prairie flowery shit, and get yourself a miniskirt or something. Then you would stop pining over Less, and actually go out with him.
F (hopefully): You think so?
T: Damn straight. That dude would date even you if you flashed a little leg, or a glimpse of your rack. Does God permit that?
F [thoughtfully]: Well, I guess it's ok -- I mean, I am over 18.
[Enter wacky next door neighbor Less -- picture Larry from "Three's Company"]
L: Yo, zebras -- got any tequilla?
T: You know where it is. Why bother asking?
L: I'm a polite guy. [rummages thru liquor cabinet, comes out with gallon bottle] Looks like you're a little low. Later, we are the world.
[exit Less]
T: Anyway, why don't you talk to fringey about clothes? She'll set you right up. Shit, she's as much of a whack job as you, but at least she's had sex this century.
F: You are such a charmer -- no wonder you're watching tv on a Saturday night. But I will call fringey.....
(cut to commercial)

Which one is that one? Because I just finished watching the Season One DVD, and my favorite episode was the one where David hires a secretary and accidentally punches her in the eye. The scene in the nightclub was hilarious. The second funniest episode was the last -- "there's no good news, David, there's bad news, and there's irrelevant news."
But we are so behind the curve on this one, Str8, it's embarrassing. More so for you than for me, really, because I'm not an entertainment industry insider.

Enough people are generally for The Onion to offer these useful online dating tips.
http://www.theonion.com/news/index.php?i=1&n=10
Some of these are of dubious utility, however, and raise more questions than they answer. Such as this:
"When considering the serious step of marriage, it's good form to seek the approval of the message-board moderator."
Do mods merely offer approval or can they, acting under the color of authority, actually perform marriages? Should we trust mods to wield this sort of power, or should this authority be reserved for admins? Does lawtalkers have an official policy on same-sex marriages?
I am intrigued by all this and think it may be incorporated into a Plan. All serious replies are welcome.

Comic Relief Day is Season 2. If you don't have BBC America, you're going to have to wait until April 20th for the Season 2 DVD to come out. Amazon link for reference only, use the Lawtalkers tip jar link instead.
You're in for a treat. Keep a close eye on the transferred employee in the wheelchair; David's interactions with her are more jaw-dropping than the index headings of Less's porn stash.

So you're saying Str8 wasn't behind the TV curve? Phew! My world view is restored. I didn't even know there was a second season yet.
I have BBC America (channel 114), I just don't have TIVO, and -- shocking information to follow -- I don't really keep track of when specific TV shows are on, and my life is the less rich for it. For example, I always think Arrested Development is on Wednesday night, but remember otherwise at about 9:32 on Sunday night, at which time it's too late to fumble with the VCR, especially considering how tired I am from all that paddling I do every weekend. So the only shows that ever seem to be on BBC America when I happen across the channel tend to involve a loud American woman forcing a sentimental English woman to throw out all of her stuff.

cougar question
can a woman be a cougar if she does not hit on younger guys, but limits herself to guys roughly her own age or older? I would say yes, but I think I need a ruling.

Chris thought so, but no, she can't. A cougar is a 30 something woman that's into younger guys.
