BTW, can I get a ruling on Rufus Wainwright? I don't want to invest too much of my street cred in a guy who sounds like Thom Yorke singing the Tom Waits Songbook on Broadway, but truth be told I've liked what I've heard, especially "California" and "Oh What a World." Is he the gay k.d. lang?

OTOH, overly confessional stuff like "Gay Messiah," "Vibrate" and "Art Teacher" makes me think he's overconfident in his songwriting skillz. "My phone's on vibrate for you"? What the Christ?

I'm kind of neutral, but I like his version of Hallelujah. I saw him in Montreal once. He's good live.

West Nile

Your legal system - hard at work.

RICHMOND, Va. - A federal judge said Tuesday that a new Virginia law requiring parental supervision at a nudist camp for kids does not violate parents’ rights to raise their children as they see fit.

spree - naked teens in a pool however, the water is such that you can't see anything if anything were there.

We didn't have any naked camps for teens where I grew up. Sounds like a breeding ground for West Nile virus. And guys, how would you "hide" your erections? There's no waistband to tuck into or whatever means you used.

Naked teen camp

The kind of girls who go to nudist camps for teens probably have a good idea how to help them hide it.

America's Most Literate Cities

UW-Whitewater* has compiled the American cities with the highest propensity for reading.

Link.

I question the methodology. Newspaper circulation? Are we in S.F. to be condemned merely because our metro daily buh-LOWS? Magazine publishers? Do publishers select a locale for their offices based on the immediate proximity to readership, and does reading magazines really constitute literacy?

*This has strengthened my resolve that if I'm ever a residential RE developer, I won't name the streets in my subdivisions after trees or explorers or English kings --- I'll name them after presidential scandals. Who wouldn't want to live on Teapot Dome Way? Whiskey Ring Drive?

Who would want to live on Vince Foster's Murdered Corpse or Protein Stain?

I'm pretty sure that Perry Homes would be willing to build on either one of those streets.

True, but who wants to live in those poorly built pieces of crap?

So, if I submit the statutory claim form, I get a pro-rata chunk of $1million. Do I take the risk that fewer than 20K people will file the statutory claim form or do I take the guaranteed $50 and file a short form claim?

I'm leaning toward the guaranteed $50.
