Chris thought so, but no, she can't. A cougar is a 30 something woman that's into younger guys.
Can cougars be in their 40s? If not, is there another term I should be using?

No.

Yes, Mrs. Robinson.

I guess its possible to be sort of a cougar if you prey on innocent men who seem inexperienced, but I'm not sure that stays within the meaning of the term. I think cougar implies an older chick who goes after NORMAL younger men.

I Want to be a 25 Year Old Cute Blonde

Quote:
[i]Cougars, etc...
I want to be a cute 25 year old blonde girl. I realized this this morning while trudging into the office. Standing in line at Starbucks I overheard a couple cute blonde girls, not more than three or four years out of college, talking about their shore house and some party they'd attended over the weekend. I walked into the office and heard the same sort of chatter between a paralegal and an intern in law school. Such a blissful existence.

I notice these girls are always friendly and seem pretty positive most of the time. Its like there's something in the collective water they all drink. Even when I was 25, I never had the seeimngly impenetratble veneer of happiness these chicks exhibit. I want whatever they're on...

Is this a Zoloft thing?

So I saw the latest Arrested Development last night, and I'm now firmly on board as a watcher. That's some funny stuff. (For those who missed it, there was a friend of Dorothy bit, not really a spoiler)

Heather Havrilesky strikes again

She is definitely stealing my material.

From Salon

T"he thing is, we both have to accept each other, and recognize that neither one of us will ever be perfect, no matter how hard we try. Sometimes I think I'm trying a little bit harder than you are, to be honest. This makes me a little resentful, and when I'm feeling resentful I notice things, like your corny sig file, or the fact that your last name rhymes with "toe cheese," or your habit of signing "Cheers!" when you really mean "So there!" But look, I'm a writer. You shouldn't take my keen sense of what's wrong with you personally."

Namaste, bitch.

Yes. And my people invented the term, so I am the final authority.

I cant imagine a bigger waste or anything more tragic than spending your fleeting cute blonde 25 yo girl years as an intern or a paralegal in Philadelphia. Seriously.

You'd have am impenetrable veneer of happiness if you got all of your drinks for free too.

No, a trust-fund and not-yet-in-law-school thing.

I think they still are. I would say they range from 35 - 50. But only 50 if you look like Sophia Loren at 50.

How old was she in the Grumpy Old Men movie? 60?
