As I understand it, the first one pretty much signifies nothing, but that's just from reading the Cliff Notes.

As for the limits, are you fucking kidding me? If you are one of the CIA field operative guys in, e.g., Afghanistan, who is going to arrest you? You are subject to the laws of superior firepower, and nothing more.

Ditto if you are spraying coca crops in Columbia or manning an AWACS plane, and accidentally get somebody killed.

But, if you want the answer that your new trusting Republican persona wants-to-hear, than I can certify that some administration official or another was on the Sunday morning talk shows, and he absolutely and unequivocally stated that U.S. military contractors in Iraq are subject to the U.S. court system. He made it sound like, duh, who doesn't know that. You'd think they'd ask if he could cite any cases where someone was subjected to the U.S. court system in such circumstances, but the reporter decided to play dumb.

If he and his family make more than $40K, then yes, he should and will.

So you think that the majority of Iraqis are "becoming" the coalition, whatever that means. But you also think that the Iraqis who are not with the coalition hate all Westerners so much, and are so prejudiced against Westerners, that gravely mistreating Iraqis taken into custody does not appreciably add to their hatred/deepen their prejudice.

That's kind of binary. Also, since you used the "-ing" forms of "join" and "become," indicating that this still an ongoing process, do you think that some of those people who have not yet completely joined/become might not join/become because they think that what the hating/prejudiced people are saying may have more substance than they thought, based on the actions of some coalition forces?
