I wish Scarlett O'Hara was still around. On Greedy South she would brag about her high LSAT scores- I really liked her

I think that this might be the first "from a while ago" poster I actually remember. Wasn't she all pissed about something stupid? Was that on the other boards? Fuck, I've got research to do. Let's see if I can get my overnight secretary off lanebryant.com.

Dear Hank,
Your link to a snarky post does not support the theory that you have been only nice in 2005. In fact, given the fact that the post you linked to was written only 2 minutes before this one only shows that you may have had an ulterior motive in writing it. That, and the fact that you can't tell the difference between snarky and nice. And I suspect that warm feeling you have could be salmonella.

Was Lady Val the one who thought that Tiger Woods was racist for only dating white chicks?
Is it just me, or is the line "Tiger Woods is a racist," evocative of the famous Repo Man line "John Wayne was a fag"?
Ahhhh, Repo Man. A great movie, but not a good movie.

Nah. That was Not Me.
I've never heard of Lady Val. I do remember ThrashersFan. That's about as far back as I go.

I never pay attention to anyone other than Mr. Darcy -- is Mr. Collins the obsequious rector?

I was actually thinking about this in my dreams.

Paigow - if I ever have some serious lapse in judgment and decide to meet you IRL, we are going to an amusement park on our first date.

I am now The Guy He Owes Money To, and until he gets that monkey (ha) off his back he and I won't be completely comfortable around each other. Sucks all around.

Could suck a whole lot worse. A lawyer I knew committed suicide recently. His close friends must be devastated that he didn't go to them with whatever was troubling him.

Odd. Your posts on fancy hotels and such are oddly reminiscent of her moral dilemmas regarding affairs, hot boyfriends, and too much moët.

Jacko
I've been thinking about this Michael Jackson case for a little while and, although I don't want to remove the concept of personal responsibility from the analysis of a grown man's actions, I think there is a lot going on here.
Michael Jackson has no idea what reality is.
Aside from his dad beating his ass and his brothers making fun of his skin and nose, Michael doesn't know what a normal life even looks like. The guy was not allowed to grow up. Wasn't he given some kind of hormone treatment to keep his voice high? Wasn't he encouraged to act like a child all through the Thriller years? Could anyone see that his relationship with Berry Gordy was unhealthy? The more effeminate and child-like Michael acted, the more successful he was. His every day relationships were formed with lawyers and producers, who, quite clearly were looking to profit from him, while keeping him at arm's length. Combine this with the fact that wherever the guy turned, someone was telling him not to grow up and it seems natural that he would only be able to form friendships with children.
The fact that he showed up to court late, looking like Captain Crunch or wearing pajamas or whatever means that he thinks court is like anywhere else. He can get there on his schedule, someone will usher him through it, people will defer to him and idolize him once they are around him in person and everything will turn out okay because someone who works for him will pay whoever is necessary. Climbing on top of a car, doing dance moves and waving to adoring fans outside of court shows he thinks this is like everything else in his life.
The guy literally lives in Neverland.
Michael Jackson has a child's mentality.
I think Michael is molesting these boys. But I don't think he sees it as molestation. Since he hasn't been allowed to mature as a normal human being would and can't understand what a normal, healthy sexual relationship even looks like, he probably experiments. Because he is a child and spends all his time with children, I'm sure he believes that he is on their level and that the urges he has, they have. He has been accused of touching them (and masturbating), but not having sex with them or kissing them. There is no question that this is molestation. But it's like he's trying to experiment with the people who he believes understand him and are on his level somehow. I think he thinks other people believe what he is accused of doing is wrong (which is why he would try to hide it), but I don't think he actually thinks so.
Think about it. What child molester would get up in front of anyone (let alone millions of people) and say that it is okay for a 40 year old man to share his bed with a 12 year old boy? One that actually thinks that it isn't wrong. He's trying to convince everyone else that it's okay. He thinks he's just like them and (on some levels) mentally, he is.
Jail won't even fix Michael because he's too big and too far gone.
Michael probably won't see jail time because his lawyers are good, the alleged victim and his family are suspect (at best) and because he is a huge star.
I think if Michael had a genuine experience in jail, it might do something for him. But he won't. If he does go to jail, he will be segregated from the general population because he is a star and his lawyers will have an argument that he is a target. If he somehow does end up amongst other inmates, the normal child-molester punishments carried out by inmates won't apply because he is Michael Jackson and will be protected. At worst, jail will be a nuisance for Michael and reality won't even creep in for him there.
Michael Jackson will die young.
I think he's going to commit suicide relatively soon, no matter how the case turns out. He doesn't have unlimited money, he won't be allowed to be a complete child anymore and he really does have no friends. His surgeries and age will catch up to him and he won't be able to fool even himself soon. I can't even picture a 60 year old Michael and I bet he can't and won't either.
It's too bad that the things that made him so popular for so long are the things that will keep him from understanding what it is like to be a normal human being. I don't think it has ever been that fun being Michael Jackson, even with all the money and it must be hell now. Shit, it's in his best interests to completely avoid reality now.
What a fucking waste.
