I just want to make a correction, an apology, for what I did in an earlier post. In a post titled "Where's Osama" I had a bad typographical and jpg error in one of my graphics. I was thinking about doing a post on the hunt for Osama bin Laden in this new year 2007 and at the same time posting breaking news on Senator Barack Hussien Obama's just announced Presidential bid.

Unfortunately I confused the one with the other and there was a typographical and graphic, whereby instead of saying "where is Obama", it said "where is Osama" and also I posted an Osama graphic instead of an Obama one. I want to apologize for that bad typo and graphical error. I want to also apologize personally to Senator Barack Hussien Obama. I'm going to be making a call to his office later this evening to offer my personal apology.

It was 1 hour and 2 minutes after Ty's post. His post brought the problem to my attention (I normally don't look at my posts after I post them). I reviewed what happened and drafted the apology. During the same time I was working, including but not limited to being a party a conference call which talk up approximately 0.7 hours of my attention.

By any objective standard that is reasonable. I can't comment on the fact that your head is stuck too far up your arse to understand that this was a sincere apology based in part on my two degrees of separation from the Senator and the trust I place in the opinions of those who know him on a more intimate (platonically) level.

Of course, to objectively and fairly acknowledge my apology, would highlight your inability to be a fair, equitable and non-biased person and offer your own apology.

Uh-huh. You typed "Osama" instead of "Obama". Because, on your keyboard, the "S" is right next to the "B".

You posted a picture of Obama with a turban and a beard, instead of an "elect Obama" button. An incredible, remarkable coincidence that of all the images you might have mistakenly grabbed -- in a post where you also had typed "Osama" instead of "Obama" into the title -- you grabbed that one.

Ty asked if you felt shame. His post reprinted the title, and the image. You responded. No shame, no apology, no claim of mistake.

Eventually, you got embarassed. So, instead of saying that you posted because you thought it was funny, and you realize now that it wasn't (i.e., the truth -- except maybe the realization part), you said it was one great big gigantic typo-whoopsy.

I do make mistakes. But I'm not dumb enough to buy that load.

CNN (twice) and Yahoo made the same mistake. Why are you singling me out? Obviously this is becoming a common problem. As I said I was thinking about Osama at the same I was typing about Obama. Both are prominent public figures whose lives have some relevancy to current events. The confusion and simple typo should not be that hard to grasp. Are you dense or just intractably biased?
