The "hippies" I get pot from are an odd buttoned down sort. Its always been that way. I get the creepy feeling I'm subsidzing Al Queda via the local Republican Party.

Start with Sebby's post at 213 and see the exchanges that include Hank, me and others (not you).

You don't listen to anyone else's posts, just treat them as reasons to repeat the same simplistic stuff over and over and over again. Thus, I, at least, brush you off. I mean, blessed Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Spanky, Hank contributed more substance to this discussion than you.
I think Spanky brings a considerable amount of substance to this board (which is frequently more a liberal echo chamber than a political discussion).

I also owe him. When I was fumbling around the ring like Randall Tex Cobb against Ty the other day, Spanky stepped in and gave Ty a sharp upper cut for me. I won't say he helped me win (because I did not "win" that debate in re the substantive issue at hand; nor did Ty), but he did articulate what I made a fool of myself struggling to emit.

This is all that I know of: http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2007/01/12/...ing-detainees/
Thanks for the link.

I now have another reason to dislike Cleary, and more importantly, a quick review of the attached comments indicate that Ty might be the only person in the world that will still only use the word "subsidize" when referring to handouts from the government.

Au contraire.

FWIW, I don't give money to political parties or candidates. My charitable donations these days (about $20K/year) are mainly focused on scholarships and financial aid for lower income inner city Seattle kids to allow them the opportunity to attend independent schools and be liberated from the teachers union controlled plantation politics public schools.

The children are our future and it takes a village. Think globally, act locally.

Yes. Absolutely. Having had work done by both, the Mexicans are a much better bargain and generally more pleasant to be around. They also won't sue you if they trip on a loose stone in the walkway.

Having spent a fair number of years in national electoral politics and having some inroads into WA state R party politics and fundraising, I'm skeptical, but open to being convinced. Are you playing provocatueur here or do you really have some info that leads you to this conclusion? Cite please?

If you presented a list of Democratic lobbying firms, your criticism might make at least a little sense. Presumably you know that the firms you've listed are hardly organs of the Democratic Party, right?
